This is a really nice surf shop, but I went there today, I spent $100 and not even a thank you, not a welcome to the store, not even like do you need help with anything question, I felt like a ghost! I don’t know the names of the guys and honestly that’s a good thing, because as a customer service manager you always wants your employees to greet everyone doesn’t matter if the buy or not, you want the best experience for everyone, so for that reason I wish can give them 0 stars.

Such a great surf shop in St Augustine owned by two brothers who have built their shop off experience in surfing. Mike and Chris Medley combine their years of traveling, surfing and a passion for proving people new and needed items in their shop. They both work in the store so they make your visit really neat

Surf Culture is a local gem. It has been here for years, decades even. Two brothers own it, Chris and Mike. They are so sweet and helpful! Those they employ are equally as helpful and kind. My son is an up and coming Salt Life boy who enjoy all things outdoor so we have purchased decks, bearings, grip tape, sun bum products, t shirts, socks, hats etc and we keep coming back for more as they are always stocking new stuff. I love to support local and this is an example of one place I will continue to do so as long as it open we will be shopping here.

Chris was really helpful in helping me find a longboard to use on my vacation. With the store being in a tourist hotspot it comes with higher prices but that’s to be expected. If you want to support local, support this shop!

Double check the prices. My wife bought some sandals for our daughter, that were marked as 30% off of $45, but the tag that they wrote on the item, was actually only marked down 22%. My wife, being a math n**** noticed the difference at checkout, and mentioned this “mistake” the the not so cool older surfer with birds and lizards tattooed on his forearm, and he acted offended that’s she understands math. Basically, scam 101, praying on tourists not noticing the difference in the markdown on the shelf and the register.Not cool at all.

I had the pleasure of finding this hidden gem today, and you would be doing yourself a great disservice if you went to St. George Street and did not stop in to see this shop. I had one of the most pleasant experiences browsing and talking to Chris and the other employees I unfortunately didn’t catch their names. Some of the kindest people you’ll meet. Not only was there great conversation and a warm welcoming but they had some awesome merch and a killer soundtrack. If I lived in St. Augustine I would stop by frequently. Thank you guys for the awesome experience, I will direct anyone I know going to the area to check you guys out! But if you are reading this review on Google, do yourself a favor and visit Surf Culture!

Awesome staff. Went in with my husband (skater kid of the 80s & 90s) looking for one board for our 14 year old daughter. The men inside were definitely pros in their field & were so helpful and friendly we are going back for three boards tomorrow. As a small business owner myself, this is definitely HOW you run a business promoting something you love.

Bought my son a Christmas gift (spy glasses). The girls we worked with on Christmas Eve were AMAZING! They told us as long as the glasses were NOT scratched or worn we would be able to exchange in case my son didn't like the style/shape we could exchange. So today my son and i went to exchange December 26th. The man which i am assuming was the owner. Was a complete j**** POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! He told us we could exchange after he said it's store policy to not exchange.... then examining the glasses for a good time... then we went to look at Electric glasses to exchange... he said NO "Spy glasses " only! What in the world? He would have made an extra $50 the glasses my son was wanting was $50 more! I would rather support a franchise business than his small business... which we spent over $500 Christmas Eve! It hurts my heart that there are such angry people! You get further with sugar in life than salt!
