This place needs to be freshened up. The hinges were loose on the bathroom door. The weather strip on the door to the room was falling off. It could use a good cleaning. They should be offering free coffee in the morning with flavors. They should also offer a free breakfast for the price of the room you pay. They offer a small restaurant attached to it but it wasn't that nice. The refrigerator was unbalanced and not very cold. All the pictures that you see are older and this place has been run down. You are better off finding a hotel across the bridge on Anastasia Island. Or go to the campground.

Beware the railroad behind the inn. Otherwise just fine.

The hotel website does not tell you that the hotel property backs up to train tracks. We had a room facing the train tracks at the back of the hotel for 2 nights. We didn't sleep well at night. There were freight trains going by every 25 minutes after midnight. If they are offering rooms in the back they should only charge $75.00 a night, not $150.00 a night for no sleep which is a rip off. If we were staying for more than 2 nights in St. Augustine I would have left and stayed at another hotel. They need to put on their website that the back of the hotel is next to train tracks that freight trains travel regularly at night. Also if you use the room telephone to call the front desk it doesn't work. You have to use your cell phone. We also told the front desk person that we needed 2 extra hand towels and wash towels and was told they will tell housekeeping. We didn't get the 2 extra towels that we requested. We won't be staying at this hotel again. Not worth the price that we paid. Rooms should be $75.00 or less at night if they are next to train tracks. Also no attention to detail, front desk either doesn't acknowledge guests requests or housekeeping doesn't care. Rip off hotel. The Days Inn across the street is a better hotel, you don't hear the trains and you receive better service from the front desk. I do not recommend the Ponce St. Augustine Hotel.Noteworthy details: You can hear noisy moving trains at night.

Beware of staying at this hotel. This is nothing more than a refurbished motel 6. The room doors either open to a highway or a set of train tracks with active train service. Neither option is quiet. The rooms have been refurbished but not very well. The wall paper in our room showed signs of buckling. We had reserved a room with a checkout of Saturday morning. We went out for lunch on Friday and when we returned we found that the cleaning staff had stolen personal items of ours. We decided to check out at that point and the theft was brought to the attention of the front desk staff. We never heard back from the hotel. I have made 4 phone calls to the manager and she refuses to return the phone call. The owner of this hotel would be wise to hire a new manager that is not afraid to confront the staff on issues like this. I will now be filing a police report since the manager does not want to address the issue. My advise would be to find another hotel.

Everything about the hotel was wonderful! It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service from the staff! Dinner from the restaurant located at the hotel was delicious! We LOVED the hot tub and hanging out by the pool! We caught a beautiful sunset after dinner. It was nice to be so close to downtown. I can’t wait to go back!

Very clean. Usually hotel rooms have dirt and dust in the corners of the rooms and bathrooms and dust on top of mirrors and on chair legs. Not here. The housekeeping staff really do a great job.The pool area is really nice with gazebos to get out the sun, with tables and chairs. There is also a lovely seating area with a fire table for a nice place to sit in the evening. We did not use the restaurant at all, so can't comment on the quality of the food or the service. If you have any complaints while staying here, I recommend getting in touch with Renee, the manager. She is really on top of things and willing to help solve any issues that may come up.Tavo, at the front desk, is amazing. He went out of his way to help us when we needed a foot rest brought to the room and when we couldn't figure out how to work the TV. Stellar service!Location is pretty perfect. If you take the trolley, you can buy tickets at the front desk for 10% off and walk next door to the welcome center for a free shuttle to the Old Town Trolley. Well worth it for getting on and off to get around the historic district. You can also take Uber into town and the rates were good. We never took our car out of the hotel parking lot. (Downtown parking and traffic is a nightmare.)There is no elevator, so be sure to ask for the first floor if you have issues with stairs.Over all, this was a good stay.

The property is a bit worn. Front desk service was great, especially Mike, who was very helpful with suggestions on restaurants and things to do in St. Augustine. Be aware the rooms at the back are right next to railroad tracks and a train rumbled by promptly at 3:30 a.m. all 3 nights I was there, waking me up. And I'm a pretty sound sleeper. Another usually about 10:30 p.m. but before I was in bed.

Absolutely disgusting! The relative humidity inside the room was higher than the wet Florida air outside the room. Our room was so moist and unventilated, the bed sheets felt wet and the floor was sticky. Bath towels wouldn't dry after showering. Water vapor condensed on my glasses over night. This hotel desperately needs to install dehumidifiers in the rooms. Yuck!Rooms: Absolutely disgusting! The relative humidity inside the room was higher than the wet Florida air outside the room. Where to start.Room is the size of a closet. TV wasn't working and it took them at least 20 minutes to fix the functions. And the toilet takes 10-15 minutes to fill and usually I must get up to jingle handle to stop the running sound. I was annoyed all night dealing with this. The phone doesn't work. The bed is way too soft and pillows are junk and hurt my neck and back.Brushing my teeth the water is obviously well water and stunk so bad and tasted like sulfur and I nearly vomited.I asked for a partcial refund and they refused.I checked out and got another hotel!!!And the staff acts like this place is the Hilton and it definitely is NOT!And it's horrible paint job... Streaks everywhere. And the TV is way too large for the room.

Positives: the ice maker on the counter & the water view in the back. Negatives: tiny bathroom without a sink inside, no night table on my side of the bed, empty tissue box, crowded tiny restaurant & bar, rooms were much smaller than the photos showed. Very disappointed after seeing pics & reading reviews online.Safety: Signs all over saying park at your own risk.Food & drinks: Excellent restaurant walking distance from hotel: “Raintree”.

I loved everything! The staff was the best yet! The pool, jacuzzi, and fireplace were all awesome! Clean room! Great bar! Location was 0.6 Mike's from downtown, good walk even with my fiancee's slight disability. We booked an additional night almost immediately after checking in. I can't wait to return here! Thanks to the wonderful staff for being so nice and helpful. Until we meet again, farewell. TammyRooms: Room 114 was great, shower huge! Beds great!

My only complaint would be they don't provide breakfast. The trains running behind the hotel might be a noise issue for some customers.
