Polite and knowledgeable associate in the store, van was clean, overall good experience. However, hidden fees such as the ‘required’ $11 coverage on the van should be clearly explained either in store /before/ getting the vehicle OR online when making the reservation. I selected no coverage, immediately reimburse u-haul when making my reservation online. It wasn’t until I was in the middle of my short in town move that I saw the $11 charge on my paper. It wasn’t explained beforehand that it was required therefore time was wasted trying to figure that out. I’m sure others would prefer this to be clearly stated as well, nobody likes surprises on a bill or hidden fees/charges whether is be $11 or $100. Principle is the same. I will rent from this location again should we need services in St Augustine.

I am pretty sure this place is out of business. I drove by twice during business hours and there was a padlock on the door. The phone number on the building is out of service.

Local office called 2 hours before reservation pickup that the truck I reserved is no longer available and I would have to go to Jacksonville or Green Cove Springs if I wanted to keep my reservation. Since the truck is mileage charge, they would add an additional $35 to the charge. I asked them to waive the extra mileage fee due to their lack of inventory control, and they declined. Needless to say, I feel this was a bait and switch technique they used to get extra fees out of clients. Buyer beware.

Best service from a U-Haul dealer hands down. We were able to get a new truck and it was clean and problem free. The staff were friendly, fast and knowledgeable. The check-in and drop-off was effortless. We will be using them for our next move too.
