They literally couldn’t be more slow, rude and miserable. I highly recommend avoiding at all costs

On March 22, 11am timeframe I attempted to mail a package. Unfortunately, the younger woman that is often there was not there who is very pleasant to do business with. I do not know her name. The older woman, that I have experienced before, and not a positive manner, was there. From the moment I stepped to the counter I had to deal with her cocky attitude. The sign that said “the would return” greeted me. I did not receive any hello or any kind of welcome other than why are you there? I’m not there?
From there, it was all downhill. She wanted to tell me how I couldn’t mail it normal in the packaging of my own because I cut out the label from priority because I had extra because I was going to be mailing two other priority boxes didn’t think it was a big deal, but she is a nasty person that I will never ever do service with again which I had to be inconvenienced today to go take my package downtown!!!!! I am confused why she is allowed to treat her customers so poorly and it’s obvious all the reviews have got to be about her!!!!
Please please please send her to a customer service class!!!!!

I live 2 seconds from this office but I drive to highway 1 just to avoid the wrath of the older white lady that works here. She’s scary. I’ve been here three times and all three times I got scolded in front of everyone about what I did wrong instead of quietly helping me. Too bad because the island office would be so much easier for me as I ship a lot thru usps. I choose to avoid toxic energy though. Life’s too short for that.

I was told by the lady that if they are busy they will ask me to go downtown to scan packages in. I had a dozen boxes /small packages that were prepaid and I just wanted a receipt. She did scan them and complained the whole time. She told me that they don’t have to do that… it’s literally the job of a postal worker, scan and deliver packages… she’s the worst, unfortunately it’s easier to park at this location than downtown more often than not.
If only the USPS were a business that needed to provide customer service rather than a government monopoly.

Been sitting here for 20 minutes waiting for them to open. Now after 9am and they have to do a “count” and can’t open until that’s complete. Always 1 person working and horribly slow. The old lady behind the front desk needs to go back to the bingo hall and call more numbers.

I'm very unsatisfied as this postal worker told me she was unable to help me because she "didn't know how." Not only was she inadequate at her job, but she refused to call someone or try to figure out how to assist me?? I'm still shocked at the ignorance & I will not be returning to this location. ZERO STARS.?

Mostly everyone who works here (Cindy excluded) is SO rude, like laughing in your face rude if you don't understand something. It is never a pleasant experience and always gives me anxiety when I have to go here. The other day I handed the woman (Felicia) and envelope that was clearly marked
"DO NOT BEND", I understand that packages get beat up along the way, but she intentionally took it from me and folds it right in half. After charging my 90 cents and slapping a stamp on it, I explain to her that it is not a letter and I want to mail it as a package. She tells me I can't. I have done this before many times. She tells me I have to buy a padded envelope to put my already padded envelope in it and readdress it. I told her to cancel the transaction. She rips the stamp off ripping my envelope and slides it back to me. I went over to UPS who had no trouble completing the transaction the correct way, and they were so pleasant. I try to avoid this post office like the plague, but sometimes it is my only option, and it is within walking distance of my home. The neighborhood post office should be a friendly, clean, convenient place, and this is not ever even close.

This is the most unprofessional post office I have ever been to! Didn’t get the ladies name but she is very rude and not helpful! I shipped a package from San Diego without any issues to St. Augustine! Tried to ship the exact same package and was told she was not going to do it. Once I showed here the label she said she was not going to do it. Then she tried to charge me 5 times what I paid in San Diego to ship it!
U.S post office you need to get ride of her.
Date is 6-26-24 at 10:31 PM. That should help with her name! Wow, I have never been treated that way and I ship with the post office all the time!

christyjames Is the manager and she makes up rules in that office with she has no right to do so. She tells people that maximum 5 boxes they can take even if they are just need to be scanned for recipes which take a second for each box. Ignore her you paid for boxes so you have the right to get demand the receipt and just don’t leave till she scans they all

There is a woman who runs the place like her own personal verbal torture chamber. Been there a few times and always try to steer clear of her wrath. If you frequent the place you’ll eventually catch an impromptu interrogation and/or scolding. She needs her own reality show to let out all of her steam on innocent bystanders. Would be entertaining if it weren’t for the purpose of a post office to actually get things done correctly. This post office belongs somewhere in downtown Jacksonville, not in such a friendly place like Anastasia Island.
