Most incompetent people ever. Too busy talking to do their job.

christyjames Is the manager and she makes up rules in that office with she has no right to do so. She tells people that maximum 5 boxes they can take even if they are just need to be scanned for recipes which take a second for each box. Ignore her you paid for boxes so you have the right to get demand the receipt and just don’t leave till she scans they all

There is a woman who runs the place like her own personal verbal torture chamber. Been there a few times and always try to steer clear of her wrath. If you frequent the place you’ll eventually catch an impromptu interrogation and/or scolding. She needs her own reality show to let out all of her steam on innocent bystanders. Would be entertaining if it weren’t for the purpose of a post office to actually get things done correctly. This post office belongs somewhere in downtown Jacksonville, not in such a friendly place like Anastasia Island.

The only post office on island and 1 person. Then have a 5 package limit but they don’t post that info on the door. They like to tell you in person. I got my husband to mail 5 of mine 10 identical media mail packages and after she did my 5 she didn’t ask him if was media mail and sent his regular adding 1.50 to each package. Wow. I’d pay $100 more to watch you hate doing tour job. But that’s rude. I guess you showed me! Why would I want to mail 10 packages!!! And expect to be able to do so. Customers expect to have to wait for other customers especially knowing it’s the only post office on the island. How about you learn to move faster than a turtle doing your job? And post your 5 item limit on your door please.

I was in vacation and mailed postcards back home, the women working the counter was overly rude when asked to purchase stamps and made rude comments about where the stamp went on the postcard. Almost 2 weeks later my postcards have not arrived!

Very nice workers in this little post office. Very polite and always helpful. Even the people in line are friendly. I drive from US 1 north to go to this post office. As big as St. John’s County is growing we need more post offices in this county. There’s only 2 that I know of the one downtown off King, horrible parking and very busy. The one over on the Island very sweet postal workers. ??

Christine is always in a good mood. There’s always a line and she just takes one customer at a time and treats everybody like they’re special.

Hold mail works until you don't want it held any longer. Can't seem to get my mail delivery resumed with medications in limbo. NO WAY TO RUN A POST OFFICE! They don't even answer the phone.

I had to select a local branch to give this review. First USPS ignored my online address change, so they left a green slip in my mailbox days later stating my box was vacant, so I filled it out as it instructed, they NEVER picked it up, so I had to change my address for the THIRD time on the phone. They told me to go pick up my mail but they had already returned all of it, so I had a great time reordering my drivers license and voting registration at the DMV thanks to them. Then they deliver a package in a parcel box, and the key they gave me to open it doesn't work, so now I can't get my package for another 2 days since it's a holiday weekend...The level of complete and total incompetence of the local USPS services are staggering, I'd have more trust in a carrier pigeon service at this point.

My package was in in a town 40 miles from me yesterday morning. It went to a town 30 miles from me as of 5am. All day I have waited because Amazon said it was out for delivery today before 8 pm. Now it says Monday on your website. This a routine issue. You are inefficient and disorganized.

I shipped one of their Large Flat Rate boxes, and instead of charging me the "flat rate" I got charged by weight. So instead of being charged $20 something dollars, I got charged $63. Literally ship through anyone else. Completely ridiculous

I can not stand having to go to this post office. The people are so rude and do NOT help you at all. EVERY SINGLE time they talk down to me and make me feel like a burden if I ask a question or need help with a certified letter (which I never filled out before and needed help because my vision is so bad) or what’s a good way to send a certain package. I think they hire the rudest most unprofessional people on the planet. I will try my hardest to do business elsewhere when I can. I’m tired of the attitude I receive for asking questions about the products and services the USPS offers. I did not go to “postal school/training” I don’t know how to send certain things and if I have a question the least you can do is answer it without being nasty. Do better and hire ppl that actually possess customer service skills. On a positive note, the male that works here while she goes to lunch is amazing and always so nice and helpful. I’ve seen countless times the rudeness with elderly customers and that really gets me mad. How do you forget that your jobs is to help customers get their important documents and packages to the correct place with the products and services you provide. You are the employee and have been trained on all of this- I am the customer that you should be happy to help. This is not a one time occurrence, it is a constant problem: I think maybe retraining these ppl is the best option on educating them on how important customers truly are.

Have always been satisfied with all employees working at this office. They are friendly and helpful when researching lost mail and incorrect forwarding issues created occasionally by the 92 year old snowbird I provide caregiver services to and have lived with the past four years. Every year this office has worked to help fix these temporary redirected mail problems, and some were very confusing, so I cannot say enough good things about this USPS office.

The 2.5 score makes sense this post office is so incredibly slow, incompetent and rude I’ll just stick to the downtown post office instead.
