The owner Chris is very knowledgeable and is always helpful. He explains what needs to be done and tells you what will save you the most. He has done engine work for me, transmission work, and suspension work on my feet of trucks. He also has a very well trained staff who work very hard to make sure everything is done right. I would recommend him to anyone if you want the job done right. If you wanna save money come to cp diesel and get it done right the first time.

Beware: 2 months and still broken. Do not bring them an older vehicle. I have a 2001 GMC van that is critical to my business. It broke down in Orlando, I live in Las Vegas. CP Diesel gave me a price for an engine swap that I agreed to, so I brought the van into the shop in mid November 2022. Barbara told me they could get my van in on November 26th at the latest. I agreed and left it there. I then called Barbara to ask if she knew a trailer shop in town because the trailer wiring had stopped working. She said CP Diesel could fix that, too, probably even before the engine, and the trailer wiring was added to the work order -- along with broken turn signals which were flagged as a likely blown fuse. November 26th came and went. I called every Friday and Monday, like clockwork, and emailed weekly, to see when I could pick up my van. I reminded Chris and Barbara that I lived out of town and had to book a flight to pick up my van. Each time I was either told somebody would call me back (which happened basically never) or that some other vehicle had taken priority. Christmas came and went. Keep in mind I do not live in Florida and could not simply walk in and take it to another shop. January 15th 2023(!) I get an email that my van is ready. I booked a flight and asked for the final invoice. I noticed the turn signals and trailer wiring were on the work order but not the invoice. I emailed about it 3 days before my flight, called Megan, who said I'd get a call back (never did), then finally the afternoon before my flight they told me they were refusing to work on the trailer wiring. Everyone at the shop knew I had to fly into Orlando, pick up my van and trailer, and drive out. I spent $1000 in airfare for myself and my mechanic friend to make the drive home quicker. When I arrived at the shop, I started to argue about the trailer wiring. It took a LOT of arguing to even get them to acknowledge they promised they'd do my trailer wiring, and how much this messed up my plans, and I got a very weak apology. I asked them to fire up my van. When it didn't turn over right away, they used starter fluid! There is literally a factory sticker on my dashboard that says "Do not use starter fluid, serious engine damage may occur." Use of starter fluid on glow plugged diesels is why some trucks need an engine swap in the first place. At this point I was pretty angry, then noticed they also hadn't even fixed the turn signals. I had to basically beg them to test the fuses (as it said on the work order.) Within 2 minutes they found a blown fuse and replaced it. I then noticed my rear tail light and brake light were smashed. Barbara tried to offer me $70 off (exactly 1% of my bill) for the smashed lights. I had already paid at that point, and decided to leave. I drove off pretty upset and decided to just leave my trailer in Orlando since I had to get back home immediately. About 5 miles into my drive, I smelled a faint smell of diesel, but kept driving. I parked to grab a late lunch and do some paperwork before getting too deep into the drive. I went back to my van at 5 and there was a huge puddle of fuel on the ground. We removed the doghouse and my mechanic friend found the culprit: a flare nut that hadn't been properly tightened when the new engine went in, that was leaking lots of fuel. This is a major oversight. I contacted them today to ask for a small refund to cover my wasted flights. I received a very flippant response, again refusing to accept any type of responsibility for poor customer service besides the classic non-apology line "I am sorry you are unhappy."The whole time I dealt with them the message was clear: because my van was not their usual work (newer diesel Rams) I was given the bare minimum attention and service. They didn't even flag other obvious issues when it was in there (like a seized caliper) like any other mechanic would have. If you have an older vehicle, they will not give you the same level of customer service as a late model Ram. You'll be on the bottom of th

We were broke down on the Florida turnpike and our truck kept going into limp mode. We called CP Diesel & Auto and they got us in right away in the morning. They do not normally work on bigger trucks but Chris the owner went out of his way to get us back up and running so we could complete our deliveries and be back home for Thanksgiving. Barb was also awesome finding the parts to make the repairs. Thank you for great service and helping us out. Definitely would recommend them.Service: Engine repair

I had taken my vehicle to the local Ford dealer in St. Cloud for a safety recall of the toe link to be replaced on 8/1. I noticed that when I drove on wet pavement (after the toe link was replaced) that my backend was “sliding”. I called and spoke with a service coordinator, after doing some research that perhaps the rear alignment wasn’t correct after the safety recall appt. I took my explorer back in on 8/24 and was told that my rear end and front was realigned (as complimentary). 8/31 I went to the airport to pick up family and noticed again that I was sliding all over on wet pavement. After 2 attempts for the local ford dealer to make the repair right I called CP Diesel for an alignment inspection. From Barbara, who answered my call, to Chris who walked me out to the shop to show me that my rear tires are completely worn from riding on the sides (one tire I bought at the ford dealer on 7/2 and was completely damaged) to Grant and Keith who worked late to make sure my vehicle was safe to drive on the roads in all weather conditions. I cannot thank this shop enough for caring about doing the right thing to ensure mine and my family’s safety!Services: Wheel alignment

Met with Chris who evaluated that I was in definite need of new tires. He suggested multiple options and I was able to choose the ones I wanted for my truck. Even more fortunate for myself we ordered the tires one day and there were enough locally to have them put on the very next day. Driving my truck now is like owning a brand new vehicle. Thank you guys for being awesomeService: Tires

This place in BEYOND unprofessional and a hazard to everyone’s safety. We used this shop to have the transmission replaced on our dodge 1500 pro master. We drove it home and it wasn’t running right, brought it to our local shop only to find, the axel bolts WERE FINGER LOOSE, one of my axel seals was dented, and our Flexplate-Flywheel was broken. All of which wasn’t broken arriving to their shop or the tech should’ve noticed and noted it.We have had to remove the transmission AGAIN to fix all these things. They have been beyond rude and difficult to deal with and refuse to take any responsibility for how this vehicle came out of their shop. They claim a dodge dealership wasn’t a proper service center to have this fixed and that “we should’ve followed protocol and waited for them to send us to a shop”.Loose axel bolts could’ve killed us driving home.Their work is lazy, damaging and just unprofessional. The owner hung up on us like a child and refuses to handle the situation like a professional business owner should.Services: Transmission repair

Great Family owned and run business. Barbara runs the front office (Mom) and Chris (Son) and his team run the wrench twisting. Honest, caring, and efficient people. I could not be happier finding someone like CP Diesel. They will now be my "go-to" mechanic shop. I appreciate their directness and caring for a customer. Thanks!!!Service: Auto engine diagnostic
