Spay the Strays Cat Rescue is a small, volunteer-based organization dedicated to rescuing and adopting cats. They do not operate a shelter, clinic, or provide vet services, and they do not assist with trapping or fixing animals. Adoption events are held at Kissimmee PetSmart on Saturdays from 1-4 pm, with occasional events at Loop Petco. The rescue is currently at capacity and cannot take in surrenders, but they do accept confirmed returns with an intake/donation fee to help cover costs. Clients have praised Anita and her team for their kindness, compassion, and dedication to the cats. Many adopters have shared positive experiences, noting the helpful guidance provided during the adoption process. The organization focuses on finding the right match between cats and their new families, ensuring both cats and owners are well-prepared for the transition. First-time cat owners have particularly appreciated the education and support offered. Overall, Spay the Strays is recognized as a trustworthy and caring organization, committed to the well-being of the cats they rescue and the families they help build. For more information, the public can visit their website or check their Facebook page for updates on events.
We were searching for a kitten but Anita rightly guided us to a “senior” cat Milo who is the perfect addition to our home. Anita and Milo’s foster mom Paola genuinely care about doing what’s best for cats and people. We couldn’t be happier - thanks to Spay the Strays.

This is a great organization that diligently ensures that the cats are healthy prior to handoff, and that you as the owner are also a good fit for the cat. If you are looking for a cat or kittens, they are an excellent place to go!

Anita was wonderful to work with. We’ve adopted Peace and Love. She’s very attentive and answered my questions. Our family is complete. 🥰
