I’ve been coming here to fish since I was a child. Many restaurants have come and go from this location but I have to say, the food is surprisingly great for this area, huge menu, a ton of beers on tap including Guinness, the prices are fine, the customer service was excellent, outdoor seating, I have to recommend this place to anyone. Go watch the sunset after a meal and a pint.

Nice bar & grill with a good craft beer list and variety of food on the menu.We shared the Roasted Portabella appetizer and the Tavern steak sandwich. Both were very good.It was busy, but service was prompt. There's a nice pier to see sunsets over the bay and a boat ramp right across the parking lot.Parking: Free parking lot, but can get full at peak dinner times and weekends.

Next to a park where there are several peacocks roaming which provides great entertainment. It's fun to dine outside. You can easily walk down to intracoastal and fishing pier. They have many creative sandwiches and salads. Good food and service.

Food was decent enough but the service was terrible. Walked in at 6:30 all the tables being dirty with no place to sit, so we waited by the door to get service for 10 minutes until anyone even acknowledged us who was a bartender. Finally sat ourselves down at a dirty table after another 5 minutes. Waiter asked for our drink orders, 2 waters, which took 15 minutes. Ordered our food and waited another 45, kept trying to get the waiter’s attention to clean our table before food arrived but avoided eye contact till he was forced to walk by us. When food did arrive our entire order was not there and had to wait 10 minutes before we could ask if it was coming out and another 15 minutes for the other stuff to arrive. Like I said the food was decent but I would not comeback due to the terrible service. It was a Wednesday night so it was not that crowded so there is no excuse for the service we had.

The staff is the best part, they also make great drinks. The food it not bad at all and they have some fancy options as well . When you think of the name “tavern” you only expect fried food. Not here.

I would have given it a 4+ but we got some ice cream after dinner in the back room off of the patio and it was $17 for 2 one-scoop cups of ice cream. That's the most expensive ice cream I've ever purchased including NYC and the beach. ??♂️ Crazy.

Ate lunch here for the first time, and the sandwiches were great. I hear the pizzas are even better though, so will have to come back and try. Service was a little slow, but I understand the kitchen only had one cook on, so totally understandable. Our waiters were otherwise awesome. Took lunch out on the patio, which has someting of an eclectic and Old Florida-ish vibe to it. Patrons seem like mostly locals, so definitely a real St. Petersburg experience for those looking to get insight on life in the Burg.Parking: Free public parking area on Elbow Lane next to restaurant.

Back in its hay day, it was probably a nice spot. Apparently a good local following, but eh.

This was our first time at Jungle Prada Tavern and my fiancé and I loved it!! We have driven past it countless times and have been meaning to try it. Well today was the day. Upon entering we immediately fell in love with the architecture and ambiance. There is so much history here that I won’t get into but can easily be found on Google.Since this was our first time we ordered burgers. We feel that if a place makes something as simple and easy as burgers then everything else must be good as well. Put simply, we were not disappointed. Both burgers were cooked to perfection and juicy and delicious. We chose the steak fries and wow, were they delicious. Probably the biggest steak fries we’ve ever seen. Additionally, our bartender was Joy who really lived up to her name. She happily answered our questions and was a friendly and happy person who really seemed to enjoy her job. Plus, we met some very nice people who were a pleasure to chat with. Overall this was a very enjoyable experience and we will definitely be back. I would recommend JPT to anyone looking for a great meal with wonderful conversations.
