3PM Sunday closing time REALLY doesn't help people who need to get their errands done on weekends. Match Saturday at least and close at 4PM.

1) Did not leave pool better than how they found it2) Did not vaccum or skim the last 5 times serviced3) Service reps spent less than 15 minutes at my pool4) Different service rep everytime, did not follow instructions to come into my yard, each rep was rude when I asked for their names so I may do my own background checks5) The times they did clean the filter, they did not do it correctly6) Could not get a rep on the phone, needed to go in person to talk to someone7) The times I went in and asked for specific days they did not follow, instead they would show up randomly unannounced8) If you have a pool cover, they will leave it balled up in the corner, they won't put it back on9) Overall costs of 150+ a month for less than 30 minutes of combined work leaves a low value/return for the costThis review does not reflect the employees in the store who are more than helpful when I would come in to get my water tested. This only reflects the pool service which I will be switching to Chlorine King.

Hands down the worst customer service I've ever experienced. It's bad enough that they didn't show up for a month straight, but on top of it, they decided to raise my monthly rate vs credit me for the 4 weeks in a row they missed. When you call to ask for an explanation they give you a song and dance about how they are fixing the problem and then they repeat it again and raise your rate another time. That's just the mess of a weekly pool service they run. The repairs department is even worse. They charge you 200 bucks just to come out on top of any repairs or parts. We had them install the wrong part to our system, and then tell us there was nothing they could do about it after charging our account an extra 300 dollars. I'd stay far away from using them

Let me start off by saying this, this store and staff are the best. I came in on a Tuesday and had trouble with my pump. I talked to Roberto and he was very helpful. I also had a water test done and the tester,Kim, was so sweet and nice. She really knows her stuff. There was also a nice guy,Kelly. He was so nice and took the time to help me out. The prices are a little pricey, but so is everything else now a days. I should also mention that Randall is very sweet and good at those chlorine jugs. He helped me out to my car and told me about his stories.

I've been a customer for a few years now, and have tried my best to work with these people. I would sincerely advise you to steer clear of this company / location. They can't hold employee's due to poor management, meaning they send out a new inexperienced tech every other week. They take no responsibility for your pool's condition, even while charging $100+ a month. It was refreshing to see in the reviews I wasn't the only one who felt this way. Don't be a victim to this poorly ran business, spend your money elsewhere.

Wow! I wish I had read the reviews before signing a contract for pool cleaning. We have a new pool, needed help with the first 30 days start up to salt. Roberto was very helpful, so we felt comfortable having their pool service complete the start up and start a weekly cleaning and maintenance. Well, week #2 was the week of hurricane Idalia coming through, our service day was Friday. Dave (who is a "supervisor") was the one doing pool service that (last) week. My husband sent me pics of what the pool looked like after Dave left. There were several green areas, the drains in the bottom of the pool were full of debris, the filter had not been cleaned. I called the store asking for the manager/supervisor of the field technicians, finding out that the supervisor was the one who did the service. Dave called me. I told him we were not happy with the service and the reasons why. His response was "I don't know if you know, but there was a hurricane this week, we are very backed up, I was there for over an hour cleaning your pool" He said give it a week, you will see the difference and that there would be no one coming out again before our next scheduled service. His tone was very snarly, which ticked me off. I told him he was fired, he said good.I called the store and asked to speak to the person above Dave, as there is always someone above everyone, unless he's the owner. The man I spoke to said Paul is above Dave and would be in Saturday (the next day) AM, he would leave a note on his desk, where "he was sure to see it" Well, no call from Paul. My husband went into Pinch a Penny the next AM, Paul was testing water samples, he went to Roberto to discuss the service, showed him pics. Roberto "would look into it and take care of it"Today is 7 days after the less than acceptable cleaning job done by supervisor Dave. My husband and I both called the store, spoke with Roberto. FINALLY, Paul who is "above" Dave called. When we tried explaining what the issues were, Paul sided with Dave 100%, but kept saying he "wasn't there to see what really happened, couldn't really say when the pics were taken, Dave told him he cleaned the filter in front of my husband" Whoa! wait a second here, we "side with" the employee??????He said "we can continue service if that's what you want" THEN said "Dave said no he won't send someone back out" THEN said "maybe in the future we can assist you " WTF! Paul said he has known Dave for many years.....oh, I see, so that makes the customer wrong and "expecting too much" to ask for a CLEAN pool and filter! YES! Paul said "we are not able to meet your standards" HAHAHA! IS IT OUR STANDARDS or service that should be done????

I hired them to clean my Airbnb pool and they FAILED to keep to keep it clean for even one week straight. It turned neon green within a couple days because they did not add enough chlorine. They also did not return to clean it for several days. I was out of the country and had to ask a friend to go and take care of it because the Airbnb guest were complaining. On top of it, they only wanted to refund for 2 weeks instead of the full month even though I have video camera with time stamp showing that the pool was constantly green every single week for half the week.

I was there 5:20 the lady Kim had already shut one side down to check the customers water Roberto tried to help and she kept saying I shut it down , I shut it down mean while the bald headed guy was shaking his head everytime another customer showed up because he had to work and fill Chlorine jugs. The owner needs to watch the cameras Roberto is the only happy employee you have that wants to help

I will NEVER do business with pinch a penny again. You can tell the owner doesn't care about the customers and even the employees. I overheard employees speaking very bad things about the owner. That's enough for me to take my business elsewhere. I thought pinch a penny is supposed to be family oriented, but the things I heard come out of the employees mouth. I will never walk in here again with my kids!

We had a Pentair pool automation system installed a few months ago that stopped working after a month or so. It's been almost a month since Sean came out to see what was going on since the installers that installed it are no longer working there. He informed us that the panel is blown and it's under warranty. So now we manually have to turn on and off our pool everyday waiting for a new panel. I don't understand why this isn't being taken care of. We paid over $3000 and don't have a working system.

I contracted PinchaPenny to install a pool light in my newly rework filtering system that was on October 18 of 2022. It is now June 29 of 2023 and I still do not have a light and now they are not answering my phone calls or returning my phone calls, I have contested the $2700 that they charged my credit card. I love their pool cleaning service but they’re screwing me around on this light. I’ve asked for a refund three times and now they don’t even answer my phone calls. I’ve contested it with my credit card I didn’t want it elevated to the status because I like their cleaning service but I can’t let them walk away with $2700 of my money without doing a darn thing , hope you have better luck with their maintenance division. Have a great day Sam Pantaleo.

I called and left a message about my pool service and requested a call back and didn’t hear back from anyone for 3 to 4 days. I called again and left another message and still no call back and my pool is still not corrected. Very poor customer service I guess I will have to go into the store to talk to someone.

I’ve had this store cleaning my pool for quite some time. I recently needed a new pool pump installed and the pool vacuumed. The pump was installed, however, the pool STILL hasn’t been vacuumed properly. I have the weekly full service package, which includes vacuuming, so I don’t understand why it’s not being done. I also purchased a new pool sweeper, that was to be installed be my tech. There is a leak in my pool that needs to be repaired and can’t be done until the pool is free from debris, etc. This has been explained to the service department several times. I’ve had to call each week for a MONTH to get the pool vacuumed and the new sweeper installed with no luck. I was told by the service tech that installed the new pump that the new sweeper shouldn’t be used until the pool is vacuumed by my tech. The sweeper was finally installed today - by the owner, however, the debris that has been in the pool is still there. I’m seriously considering switching pool services unless the pool is vacuumed properly.

We paid in full for a brand new pump assembly. It is partially installed and does not function. Appointments to complete the instalation has been repeatedly missed. No attempt to communicate and explain what is going on. Service level and communication from this location are fairly bad.

I recently changed to this pinch a penny, due to the fact I didn't care for the service at my old one. I called, had my pool evaluated quickly, signed up for service and my pool cleaner is awesome. Crystal was so helpful in setting it all up. My questions and concerns were dealt with correctly, so please give your office manager a big pat on the back for all the hard work she puts in! She's great and so is the pool cleaning guy!
