me and my bestfriend went here and you normally go out to just eat and have a good time with your friend/family but it’s much more here. first off our waiter gorge was absolutely amazing, he was not your ordinary waiter who smiles and takes your order. he’s involved with you in convo, so attentive and his aura was so radiant, it makes you want to befriend him. willy was also absolutely amazing, funny and they both made our dinner 10x better. white glove service and the etiquette was lovely. the food was so delicious, had to give compliments to the chef. you can tell they are not from saint pete but from somewhere that cares about people and food. genuine care and love went into their food and social skills. will be going back again just to see them. ?

Alright, folks, you know the deal – “One bite, everyone knows the rules.” But this ain’t about pizza today; it’s about getting scammed at Renzo’s. So here’s the rundown: I gave this place a second shot, hoping it’d redeem itself. Spoiler alert: it didn’t. Sat at the bar with my wife, sister, and close friend. We’re not high maintenance; just some wine, croquettes, an entrée, and sides. But, geez, those croquettes were colder than my ex’s heart, and everything else took an eternity to show up. When it finally did, it was like they forgot we were there until the last minute. And the sides? Forget about it. Some got axed because they were dragging their feet in the kitchen. Now, service – if you can call it that. The bartender had an attitude like she was doing us a favor just by being there. Then, the grand finale: a “large party” service fee slapped on our bill. I’m no math genius, but since when does 4 equal a large party? They tried to justify a sneaky 22% service charge for a party of 4 or more. That little detail was conveniently missing from the menu and any form of human communication until it was time to payup. I pushed for a manager, but got handed off to another server playing boss for the night, singing the same old song. Only after a bit of back and forth did they drop the charge, but the damage was done. Here’s the bottom line: Renzo’s is playing games. First time was mediocre, gave them a second chance, and they went straight for the scam. Poor service, food’s a miss, and they’ve got the nerve to sneak in extra charges. Listen, I’m all for giving places a fair shot, but fool me twice? Shame on me. Renzo’s? Off the list. Fair warning – save your dough and your time. There’s better out there, and they won’t try to pull a fast one on you.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. From the craft cocktails, unique wine list, authentic pasta dishes, to the small plates, meat selections, and desserts, they cover all tastes. Be sure to check out the cuts of meat aging in the case next to the hostess stand, and then enjoy some on the Parrilla platter. So good. Servers are attentive and knowledgeable. A must try in downtown Saint Petersburg.

When i arrived, the hostess directed us outside because my service animal (6 lb yorkie) was not allowed indoors. We agreed because it was a beautiful night to dine Al fresco. While walking outside, I told her that my service animal will not disturb other guests because it was trained. To my surprise, her answer was “ I don't care”. She was so rude, that her answer left me speechless. On the other hand, our server Jorge was very attentive at all times. He was friendly but not intrusive, and he took care of my food restrictions. Even though it iknown as an Argentinian steakhouse, the menu has some Spanish and Peruvian starters and main courses as well. Conclusion: the parrillada is okay for two people. The meat cuts were tender and cooked as requested. The sweet and sour sweetbreads were not what I expected because sweetbreads and sweet sauce is not a good combination. Portions are not as seen in photos. Salads and sides were ridiculously small. Nice atmosphere with great service (except for the rude hostess) but small portions.

We are locals and have loved Renzo's since they opened. We went last night and were totally shocked at the 25%-30% increase in food and wine prices. So disappointing that the jump was so drastic, so fast. Food was good, but we literally got 6-7 yucca fries in our basket. It looked empty So, that was surprising too.

The reservation website (Open Table) was hard to operate. I had to change the time and number of people of my reservation, and it was difficult. Service very slow. Food very good. Lunch menu on website is NOT available on Sat., only M-F. Very disappointed. Should be on website.

Have been here 2-3,times and have never had a bad meal or bad experience. Menu is excellent and varied, not just steak. My wife loved the ceviche and my lamb chops this last time were the best I have had in some time. Service was also first rate.

Just a bit disappointed. I called in to order, but when I picked it up, the price was double what the internet said. I paid for what I ordered, but I mentioned it to the hostess that they were charging me double what I was expecting, because of what I saw on Google. She said “sorry, Google has been wrong for a long time, the price is this, not what you see on Google”.The meat was tough to chew, but overall, tasty. Not sure I’ll go back. The price online was fair $48 for a few pieces of steak and a salad. The price I was charged per plate was $75.
