They offer a huge variety of candies and sodas.
However, the service feels very impersonal, more like a gas station than a fun spot for kids.

I sure hope the woman working today (9/14/24) is not the owner. I called prior to driving to the store and asked if they sell Swedish candies. These are a really popular candy online right now and I wanted to support locally instead of buying online. I was told “yes we have Swedish candy” on the phone. When I asked if they had “bubs”, which is the specific type I was looking for, I was told “I don’t know what that is”. That was fine, I figured they would have different brands and I decided to drive over. Upon arriving my husband and I browsed through looking for it on our own. When I didn’t see anything that resembled the candies I asked the woman in person if they had the Swedish candies. I was told “everything international is on this shelf”. Okay, that’s fine. They did not have anything I was initially looking for so we then grabbed some other items. Lastly, I asked if they had the cola flavored Haribo candy. This was apparently very annoying for the woman working. She rolled her eyes and walked away saying “we’re out of that”. Clearly not even caring or knowing what I was asking for with any of the three interactions. She could not be bothered with a customer asking questions about candy IN A CANDY SHOP. Apparently that’s too much to handle. I can’t imagine a novelty candy shop in the heart of downtown is making so much profit that they don’t want customers to return. Against my better judgment, I purchased 3 items. 2 freeze dried bags and 1 cotton candy, which cost $30. What a disappointment.

Today we went to downtown St Pete with the kids for Father’s Day and stopped in. Kids were very excited as they sell mystery bags. We bought one for $14.99 and I cannot believe the embarrassing amount of items inside it. See attached picture. Not to mention the Turkish taffy expires in a few days and is hard as a rock. Just very disappointed.

A huge variety of soda and candy. Who would’ve been nice to see more of a variety of candy from the 70s 80s and 90s 90s. they did have some choices. I just thought there would be more.
