If you don't want your child to be bullied. It's in your best interest. Not letting your child attend this school. I have had problems, not once but twice at this school. Me reporting it, made matters worst, to the point where my kid was called a liar and someone saying that they don't have control of who's in their class. No kind of punishment into play for the bully. Also cyber bullying, where the student told another student to fy and gkyourself. I can't believe that this goes on in elementary.

Sexton elementary has been, and will continue to be a great school.I have had many grand-children, over a number of years, attend this school and have always maintained an excellent relationship with the staff. The special needs children receive awesome one-on-one time from the teachers, and are never made to feel different from the other kids. The people that are posting the negative reviews get treated as they deserve. If you put out negativity and rudeness, then this is what you'll get back. The 2 best schools at the elementary level are Sexton and Rawlings. The absolute worst school in this catagory is Lealman.

They are telling me i need a doctors note to pick MY child up early. The principal is very rude and speaks to people like they are beneath her. I don't recommend this school at all. I am currently looking into transferring my son out of that school.

Never have I nor my sister have ever had a problem with this school considering my nieces have all gone to Sexton ever since this school has been open I have twin nieces that are 25yrs old a niece that is 23yrs old a niece that is 19yrs old and a niece that is 17yrs old who have all gone to Sexton and I myself have a 8yr old daughter who graduated kindergarten there from Mrs. Clark's kindergarten class and the one and only time I had a problem with the school was when my daughter went on summer break after graduating from kindergarten because when her first grade school yr was about to start I received a bus schedule in the mail stating she had been move to the sorriest P. O. S school in this city which is lealman elementary school. I know they had no choice as to moving my daughter due to the zoning board and when my daughter and her fathers cousins daughter were walking to school they had been started to get bullied n as soon as I took it up with the principal after a week of dealing with it the principal had the police meet me at Tue school when it was time for dismissal and after that there was no more bullying so you rude @** people can say what u want about this school but it is , was, n has always been the vest school in the city of St. Petersburg Florida that we have had in a very long time ( since Marjorie Keenan rawlings elementary was opened up)

Front office, administration, sets a poor example of the school. Long delays even during off hours, passively rude, and eager to get you out of the Administration building if you are a guest.

Poor example of educational setting for special needs kids. My child has been at this school for roughly 3 months and I am filing state complaints to get her moved. She has regressed tremendously since starting at sexton. Fallen and bumped her head twice (with a vp shunt), been sent home for being 'sick' more than once, however when I get her there's nothing wrong. To top it all off, she was bitten twice in a matter of 2 days by the same child. No incident report sent home, had to request one be sent home. Received over a week later. The principal of the school acts like she's been in charge for five minutes. Bottom line? Don't send your child here unless you have a one on one for him/her.

Rude and unwelcoming is the perception and reality. This school will never improve until it learns to effectively create a school/home partnership.

This school is amazing. I have gone here since kindergarten and the teachers and staff are kind, nice, and take care of the students. If I had to recommend a kid to a elementary school this is the place. They even take special needs children. My favorite teachers are Mrs. Cook, Mrs. Courtney, Mrs. Babb, and Mrs. Broadbear. THIS SCHOOL IS AWESOME!!!!!!! :-)

The staff in the front office is a bunch of rude people. They act consenting and just generally act like they could care less and act as if you are bothering them. As for the teachers the ones my children have has the misfortune to have to deal with have all acted as if they don't have time to teach. Both my kids have special needs and I get the impression that shun my kids because of it. I also get empty promised from the Principle. I had a conference with her 3 weeks about one of my kids teachers, after being told that she would get back to me I have not heard anything. I think the teachers, staff and Principle are ALL WORTHLESS! I now see what Gov. Scott sees. I think the lot needs to be fired!
