South Straub Park is a peaceful oasis in downtown St. Petersburg, offering a calming spot for walks and reflection. The park features beautiful trees adorned with lights that illuminate at dusk, creating a serene atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy a 30-minute stroll while appreciating various statues and the surrounding greenery, which acts as a buffer between the busy streets and the waterfront harbor. Although there are no picnic tables, guests can relax on the grass and enjoy a picnic. Restrooms are available across the street at the pier entrance, though their cleanliness may vary. Wildlife, including parrots and spoonbills, adds to the park's charm, making it a lovely retreat for families and individuals alike.
Went for the Art Festival. Parked on the pier. Beautiful day and great setup. Really nice park just across the street from the marina.
