Place is crazy. They allow a dude names Jason Gardner to run around with guns and knifes and start fires. They then turn a eye to all he does and now everyone's life is constantly in jeopardy

I am a client there. We are threatened with body harm daily. We do not have staff taking care of the clients but the druggie in the court yard. We as clients need the staff to stand up for the clients who are working the program.

This place is very unprofessional. They will force you to get into the program because they will jave you sighn everything first then tell you everything they do is for your benefit. The amount of medical stuff required is crazy for no reason. I kept getting border line threatened to get baker acted just asking for help with rent. Thankfully i only met with them once. Stay away Veterans at all cost. Please don't donate to this company it's not right what they are doing at all.

I entered the Supportive Services for Veteran Families administered by SVDP CARES. I broke my back and entered the program August 2022. I remained in my apartment until the end of October 2022 until my lease ended and I had a 8 hour surgery Oct 23rd. My belongings were put into storage with many items damaged/ruined by careless movers. My caregiver/fiancé and I then moved into a hotel. On December 28, 2022 St Vincent de Paul stopped paying for the hotel. By January 27, 2023 I was forced into the street. All while in the SSVF program administered by St Vincent de Paul CARES of Polk County. As if that weren't bad enough. Once I was placed into a trailer for "permanent housing" they placed me in a known criminally run trailer park. Infested with roaches and swarms with termites but mysteriously it passed their bogus inspections. The place was disgusting. The landlord uses several folks for maintenance who are on the states sexual offender registry. So much for your safety. This is allegedly a "Christian" organization but the treatment I've received is far from Christian more of a Hamas type organization considering the number of lies. This place needs oversight.

My experience with SVDP CARES was an excellent one. I can't even begin to tell you how my case manager Asa was always right on top of everything and right there to assist with any issues we had. She is amazing and such a good person. Idk where on earth we would be without SVDP CARES . We were homeless on the streets and now we have a roof over our head. They helped us apply for assistance with social security and with section 8. I rarely had a worry. I really feel blessed to have had the opportunity to find this organization.

Where do I start ? The local management in the southwest, Lee county, collier county and Charlotte county is a mess. The case management turnover is extremely high and the clients are not even told when their case worker is fired or quits. If you are a Saint Vincent de Paul employee in any of these county’s you are told in house and I quote what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!!! In other words that means if you are an employee here do not be a whistle blower and just do what you are told. Believe me I stood up to that and contacted HR to try to explain how messed up those counties were and was fired . I was fired because my immediate supervisor lied about anything that they could think of to shut me up. And when I was let go I was reminded that florida is a right to work state and could be let go at anytime. This area of Saint Vincent de Paul cares is toxic the only thing that the management in that area cares about is their bonuses. I wish they cared as much about the clients that we are hired to help but believe me they don’t.Saint Vincent de Paul in the southwest part of Florida are not there for the clients. Want to know more and much more in depth feel free to contact me.
