I have attended so many services in my life time. Starting with 13 family members in one year! But I was very impressed and touched by the way Alcock Funeral Home handled my friend’s service! It was comforting and intimate and just special! Thank You

I wish I could put 0 stars. I saw them take advantage of grieving family friends. Their lovely grandparents decided on a burial plan/plot and paid for what they were interested in prior to their deaths. The first funeral came and went. When, unfortunately, it was time to bury the remaining grandma, they were told they needed to pay an atronomical fee for the burial to continue. They did not honor the contracted amount already paid. The family realized the funeral home had done this before, making an elderly grieving widow pay thousands of dollars extra to have a funeral without any of them realizing. In this case, they kept reiterating “pay or no funeral” so I’m guessing they did this to the grandma who just lost the love of her life. You’re going to give an ultimatium to a family who just dealt with the death of their grandmother? I understand at the end of the day business is business but regardless taking advantage of a greiving family is the slimmest thing a company can do. If you want to properly grieve without the biggest headache of your life, stay far far away from these scammers! Had they been upfront about their business practices maybe this would be a different story.

Disappointed in the lack of attention to details. There were several mistakes made by the staff in preparation for our funeral.

Very professional and helpful. The contracts were explained in detail and everything was done as discussed. A personal interest was taken by all, the attention to detail made for a beautiful service. I highly recommend Aycock Funeral Home and Fernhill Memorial Gardens. A special thank you to Glenn Dewitt, Ginger, Robert and Todd.

Very rude during a very difficult situation. You won't get any emapthy there. I didn't have any rights as a daughter, yet they needed me to sign a crematory order, after being eliminated from a will. No empathy at all and I was trated as if I was a child.
