I normally don’t trust my hair to anyone, but Shy is the only stylist I will go to. She has an incredible talent and professionalism that makes every appointment a great experience. Not only does she listen to what I want, but she also understands exactly what my hair needs to stay healthy, shiny, and strong. What sets Shy apart is her versatility. She’s the only person who can style my hair curly and have it hold beautifully, or make it sleek and straight and have it last for days without losing its shine. She truly knows how to work with different textures and types of hair, and her knowledge of products and techniques shows in the results. Beyond her technical skills, Shy is professional, attentive, and makes you feel comfortable the entire time you’re in her chair. She takes her craft seriously and it’s obvious how much passion and care she puts into her work. My hair always feels better and healthier after seeing her, and I constantly get compliments on it.
If you’re looking for a stylist who can deliver consistent, high-quality results while also keeping the health of your hair a priority, I can’t recommend Shy enough. She’s simply the best at what she does.

I’ve been seeing Shayra for a while now, and I honestly call her my “hair goddess” because she truly is! She moved over to Black Sheep, about a year ago and I had to follow her, she’s that good!! Shy’s known for her blonding expertise, but I’m a brunette who needs consistent grey coverage, and she nails it every single time. My color looks natural, vibrant, and fresh, and I always leave her chair feeling like the best version of myself. She’s styled me for professional headshots and important events, I wouldn’t trust anyone else!! Beyond her technical skills, she listens, gives great advice, and just makes the whole experience enjoyable. If you’re looking for a master stylist who really knows her craft, you’ve found her!

I’ve been seeing Nikki lately, and I couldn’t be happier! She always nails my blonde highlights—they look so natural, bright, and exactly how I want them. I’m also obsessed with how she’s helped me shape and style my curly bob, it’s never looked this good before! If you want to go somewhere.. where you ask for a balayage and color your whole head in blonde product then this is the place to go. I was recommended by a friend since I was visiting for a few days. I don’t get my hair done often and my stylist had so much confidence, I just went with what she was saying. I showed her a picture of what I was looking for. Instead she painted nearly my whole head. Which literally took 9am to 5pm. I was so shocked and everyone in the salon kept telling me how pretty it was and they were right. She did a good job. But I paid over $400 for something I didn’t ask for. I even was nice enough and gave her $100 tip that she didn’t seem very happy with.
The first picture is what I asked for. The second picture is my hair prior to getting anything done at the salon. And the third picture is after she did my hair. The receipt is just to show that I asked for a balayage and she made me a blonde instead.
And don’t get me wrong.. if she had done what I asked for I would have had no problem paying that money. I know I have long hair and it goes by product. But I wouldn’t have had to use that much extra product and wouldn’t have had to waste a whole day there when she knew I was only visiting for a few days.

My most recent visit to Black Sheep was a fantastic experience. The ambiance is good and they always offer a beverage while you’re there. My hair was tired when I went in and completely rejuvenated when I left. Shy is always helpful in figuring out a good color and cut plan and this visit was no exception. I've gotten a lot of compliments on my new hair too, but more importantly, I love it.

i could not ask for a better salon, beautiful welcoming environment, i went a while ago for a hair cut with Allison and it was 10/10, gave me exactly what i wanted. recently i got my hair dyed with Danielle, i had no reference pictures and just explained what i wanted and she gave me EXACTLY what i wanted and was so kind and patient. seriously recommend

I found myself in the middle of a hair fiasco and had to look into extensions. I've always been apprehensive and on the fence due to price and upkeep so I did my research on local salons and reached out to Black Sheep as they have the best reviews and feedback by far.
I booked a same day consultation with Alison C and I'm so happy I did. She's very professional and knowledgeable while being honest and making you feel at ease.
She took the time and asked many questions before giving her recommendation and I had a quote with no surprise charges before I left.
I return next Friday and I am beyond excited! As a senior stylist her prices are beyond fair and her beauty profile is top notch. I usually dread the salon and this time its not like that at all.
If you're on the fence, go see Alison. You won't regret it.
