Worst decision ever in my life was to purchase a bed and mattress set from City Furniture in Stuart, FL. In March 2023, I went to the store, Edwin was my sales person. He was nice and pleasant and I thought I was in great hands. Told me the bed (Chicago model) and mattress/box I wanted was in stock, could be delivered in 2 days, cheerfully took my money. The bed, I found out, was not in stock, was never in stock, in fact it was on back order and had been for 2 months. After 2 weeks, I was given a delivery date. The delivery guys came, they were nice, but they noticed the wood bed frame was damaged. So another week, then delivery is attempted again, but this time they brought no rails to assemble the bed, said those were back ordered. After many calls, I visited the store to try to resolve. I came in and asked for a manager. The manager came over with a security guard-- considering I was calm and not yelling, this speaks volumes as to how they expect these interactions with customers to go. The manager was rude and condescending, was trying to get me to pick a different bed instead, which of course was more expensive. After an hour of back and forth they agreed to deliver a loaner bed frame and we slept on that for 2 weeks. Finally the bed was delivered and assembled in full. First night it was creaky and wobbly. Checked it over next day, majority of screws were half screwed in and the middle piece that supports the mattress had no support, but they had (not) helpfully shoved a dirty piece of wood under it, which slipped out of place because it was not secured in any way. We reassembled our whole bed. Now we are about one year in, and the bed is literally falling apart. The wood is splitting, the screws will not stay tight no matter what we do, and we took the box spring off today to find that the center support is completely cracked in half and I don't know how the whole bed has not collapsed on us. We currently have a stack of books and a lock box wedged under it to prevent collapse. Super classy. Supposedly I have the 3 year service plan but I have very low expectations for how this is going to go. Honestly this furniture is total garbage, the company is dishonest, and I would rather sleep on the floor than buy any additional items from them. And funny for me, I probably WILL be sleeping on the floor.

just read everything !, they will not take anything back ! they will run you in circles and you get different information from different people and rarely get things resolved. my piece of furniture came in looking noooothing like the piece in the showroom. it was cracked and had black lines on it. theyoffered to send technician out to repair it but it could not be repaired. said another shipment would come in Feb. ok oh good the item is in so I can schedule an exchange. so I did and a week before my exchange delivery was supposed to happen I did have to change the delivery date and they said sure no problem. I got the confirmation where my delivery date was set. well got on computer to check and it said that the item was out of stock until March and I would have to wait until the new shipment comes turns out they gave the item that I had scheduled for delivery to another customer. An employee from City said that yes that can happen. really . they will not take the damaged one back. so I am waiting until March and see if the same thing happens. when you buy anything from city just note every time you contact them who you spoke to and what they said and the dates. you have to watch out for yourself because they won't.

I will go to the dentist and have all my teeth removed before I buy one single piece of furniture from City Furniture again. This company is awful. I bought a simple square dining room table with four chairs. Of course, it arrives in one big box. The table was damaged as were 2 of the chairs. I put a claim in and since then they have cancelled delivery of the replacement 3 times. I have even told them to just come pick up the table and all 4 chairs and credit my account. Nope can't do that. They continue to jerk me around. NEVER again! The sales staff at the Stuart/Jensen store are great. Sadly, what goes on after the sale is where the problems start.

Please know that if I could rat the sales staff in the Stuart store, it would be a 5. The seletion is a 5, the service and warranty dept gets the 1. I have an entire new home filled with tens of thousands of dollars of furniture from City. I took their expensive coverage policies. I have had several issues, repair appointments are an entire day and you only find out a window at 9 pm the night before which means having allocated an entire day for them. The first appt was canceled because the technician texted my land line and (obviously) I did not answer a text to a land line. So rather than calling to see if perhaps the text was not received, he cancelled the appointment. The response was to give me yet another day that I had to be available all day til the night before. I got a text this time- 9-1. did not have a call ahead by 12:15 so I texted the tech multiple times. After 1, he texted back that he wasn't coming because he was at the hospital because his uncle died. My suspicious nature feels that uncle takes a bullet daily and this tech never fills his roster of work. If it is true, I am sorry for his loss, but he should have contacted the company that should have contacted me. City Furniture determined that their only recourse was to assign another whole day. They do not care that I am having a large event this weekend that puts my guest in jeopardy because they did not fix the furniture including a chair that cause a finger pinch that resulted in a bloodied wound and a table that is not seated properly so items placed on it slide into the lap of the person seated there.. They made no attempt to rectify this by simply making a timed appointment for the repair. Their policy is infexible, there is no member of management that will ever come to the phone. they are never available after waiting a half hour on hold to be told they are not available. The hundreds of dollars that were spent on warranties is wasted since the techs do not show up. I am ready to have them pick up all of the furniture and refund all of my money, but I do not want to bite off my nose to spite my face. There is no compensation for my time, no respect for my loyalty to them for my pourchases or for the unacceptable way their warranty team is refusing to address this. Saying "I'm sorry" is not enough at this point. No matter how nice the furniture, no one should have to put up with this treatment time and again. Their policies on repairs will prevent me from ever purchasing another item from them. UPDATE: this got an immediate answer with the same result. THE ONKY OPTION IS FOR ME TO CLEAR A THIRD FULL DAY AND HOPE THEY SHOW UP. They lost a really good client

We purchased several items from the Vero Beach location including two sofas, tables, a dinette set, and an entire queen-sized bedroom set. We have had nothing but trouble since day one. The delivery person damaged the footboard of the bedroom set upon delivery, attempted to hide it, and once exposed, lied about it. They also drilled screws from the bottom of the dinette towards the top, causing a screw to protrude through the top of the table surface. The delivery person also attempted to conceal this from our view. He insisted that they would be back within 48 hours with replacements. This NEVER happened. We contacted management multiple times, but we have yet to hear back. Both sofas started peeling within six months of mild use. When we called for service we were advised that this was "not covered" under our protection plan. We will never buy from City Furniture again. Please learn from our mistakes.

We were ready to purchase about $25,000.00 in furniture from the Stuart store to furnish a home in Aiken, South Carolina. When we got to the point where we asked about delivery, the quote was 25% of the purchase price. Wow, what a shock. It was then suggested that we hire a mover to pick it up and deliver it to our new home but they would not guarantee the condition of the furniture once it left their store. In other words, if it was found that a piece was defective or damaged, City Furniture would not stand by their product. That is not customer service in my opinion. A large purchase should be taken into consideration when pricing out delivery, included a guarantee that the furniture was in proper conduction. No more shopping at City Furniture!

Placed a store In store over the weekend, was told if I needed to add anything before Delivery just to call no problem. Well I called the sales person who helped me was off, Kevin I talked to 3 times when I asked him how I should add more to my order he told me to place it online and pick free shipping since I paid for premium delivery in store already and my orders would be linked up. Well I call today and a different sales person tells me they told me the wrong way to do it and I had to deal with the free shipping and find a way to get the extra dresser up the steps. Call customer service there next to no help they don't seem to care once they have your money. Asked the Jensen beach store to talk to a manger this morning. He said they were all in a meeting and he would make sure they called be back right away. 3 pm no one has called me I called back asked to talk to a manger and I was told I was on the list to call back mangers to busy to talk to me. I'm considering canceling my order all together with the level of customer support they give you after ur purchase. Ridiculous. We have bought a lot of furniture from here to and never had this problem

My experience at City Furniture was nothing short of amazing. It was my first time at City furniture and I could not have asked for a better guide. Myself and my family came to look for a few items and was meet by a very pleasant gentlemen, Anthony Mango, upon arrival and he made our experience at City furniture exactly what we needed and better than we expected. He was very patient and kind as we scaled the sales floor for a perfect piece to bring our new home together. He was very knowledgeable and personable and I couldn’t have asked for better customer service. They only allow 5 stars to be highlighted here but he really deserves 10, thank you again for your time with me and my family.

We love the pieces we purchased. The delivery men were very careful unloading from the truck and placing in the house. They were knowledgeable about assembling and quickly discovered some missing equipment in one part. That piece was returned and 2 days later the replacement was delivered and installed. We are grateful for the efficiency of the crew. All is good and we are happy with our furniture.

Ordered the Woodstock Light Tone Uph Dining Bench and it came infested with beetles. They chewed through the wood leaving sawdust all over the house and made holes in the bench. Customer service has been of no help. They made someone come to the house for an "inspection" just to tell me they don't cover bugs. They are refusing to refund the order. I had to clean up dead beetles in my bedroom. Would give it 0 stars if I could.

The selection of furniture was amazing, a little overwhelming but great. I shopped several stores looking for a sofa for its fabric ,size,quality of construction,and longevity. The sofa is the key piece in my home to be used all the time,so it had to be just right. Found all the above and was priced well.Devin was great and took his time with me. AND I wanted a sofa made in t he USA.

Nicolas offered assistance and took us through the showroom and found items for us that we haven’t been able to find elsewhere. He knew where to look and thankfully had a tape measure in hand. He was patient, kind and knowledgeable- a rare combination.

There was a couch I’ve been wanting for awhile for my new salon but wasn’t ready to order. As soon as I was ready I went in and it had been discontinued, I was so upset bc I had looked everywhere for the perfect couch and this was it. Thankfully I was able to buy the floor model and it all worked out. So I’m super excited to receive it!
