I haven't been at a Michaels in years. I went to one in Stuart Florida to pick up some realistic looking silk flowers. They used to have high quality beautiful flowers. I remember making beautiful centerpieces with them. You could get both single stems and bunches. There were huge signs in every isle of this department saying 70% off the regular price. The regular prices were very high to begin with. The flowers were made with plastic stems, leaves, and flower centers. They looked like the same as the dollar store. They were all in bunches with only a few individual stems in all the isles. I finally found 1 bunch that was small, looked more natural, and was supposed to be wildflowers. Mostly they were crushed looking and I hoped I could uncrush them when I got home. There were no dried flowers in the store only cheap fake ones. I also picked one other single dyed plume looking thing. When I got to the register they didn't ring up as discounted. So the two crappy looking fake things will be $20. The cashier's say oh those are new so they aren't 70% off. Even though the signs are everywhere. On top of this there were only 2 employees seen in the entire store. I will not be going back. I can find better quality at Walmart and The Dollar Store. Bait and switch!

Only reason this store gets 3 stars instead of 1 is because of Matthew!!
Placed a balloon order (25 helium) in person for a next day (11:30am) pickup. When I arrived (15 minutes late unfortunately) the order was not ready and the girls working looked at me like I was speaking in alien tongues. Matthew came around the corner asked if I needed help. I explained the issue and he jumped into action to get me those balloons!!

I went for Liquitex gesso. They only carry inferior quality gesso now. The store was a pig stye. The only person to ask for help from was the cashier, the only visible employee. That employee was not very friendly.

Small store, some good selections on clearance items, but others areas are pretty pricey.

They have a good assortment of arts and crafts supplies. Also quite a bit of cake decorating supplies. I was impressed with the selections.

This was, by far, the best Michaels I’ve been to. The store was nicely stocked and organized. Motivated staffer, “Tonya” answered questions and helped us problem solve to find the correct paint brushes; she offered assistance more than once while we were there and I really appreciate it!
