Very disappointed with the main post office staff, I’ve gone in now for a second time after reporting a problem with delivery where they post person dropped off two items from eBay on top of the post office boxes at my apartment complex obviously because it wouldn’t fit in the box rather than Returning them to the post office and leaving a message to come and pick them up. Both were stolen. I came to complain about this to the post office over a week ago, spoke to one of the managers who took down the information two weeks go by I haven’t heard anything so we go in this Saturday to discuss it and find out what the situation is because if the individual continues to do this where a box will not fit and put it on top, and it was explained this is not the policy, but the policy obviously isn’t being followed, and I need to stop it. Otherwise other things will be stolen. Spoke to the same individual who says he doesn’t recognize who I am and that he does a lot of talking to people, but he took down the information on the first day and after two weeks, never got back to me. To find some kind of resolution I came back on Saturday and he didn’t recognize me. He didn’t have any information in the computer based upon the tracking of this or a complaint and I left frustrated and will come back and hopefully get some resolution from the postmaster next week. I was hoping that what I’ve heard about people working for the federal government wasn’t true that they would be helpful in Truly be on top of things, but obviously this is not the case at least at this post office because there should’ve been a computerized record of the complaint in person from the first time I visited. There was not.

I work in customer service and I understand the stress of these jobs.. but still no excuse to treat people rudely who are not rude to you. The reviews align well and the picture of the lady posted multiple times on here in previous reviews is who was rude to me. Maybe its just her.. I always treat people with respect and I am not “one of those customers”. I advise you to choose another post office if you can. I go to palm city frequently and its a better experience.

I dropped a box off at the 34994 post office on February 27, 2025. I’m on camera, as is everyone else of course. The female clerk (shown below) told me that if I’m “dropping off” - to hand over the box to her co-worker “Anthony.” I asked for a receipt. The female clerk said that I did not need a receipt. She said it twice. I handed Anthony my box then I left. A few days later, I realized that the box was supposed to be dropped off at UPS, not USPS. I researched online to see if this has happened before, and of course it has. People accidentally drop off UPS, FedEx, & DHL boxes to USPS locations all of the time. I spoke with Anthony today, 03/12/25, on the phone. He told me that someone from the 34994 locale should have called me to come back and retrieve the box especially since the box had my full name, address & phone number on the shipping label. He said a supervisor should have called me. So then I asked if I could speak to a supervisor and he said he was the supervisor. Clearly, Anthony and the woman who works the counter (shown below) are in on a scam. Here’s the scam. These 2 ask if you are dropping off to send the box back to get your refund or exchange. If you say yes, they tell you that you don’t need a receipt. If you believe them, and walk out with no receipt, and the box is NOT a USPS box, but maybe a UPS, DHL, or FEDEX, the box goes in their cars and they go home with it. Here’s why. Anthony said that if there is no USPS barcode on a box that he has in his hands, he, all of a sudden, does not know what to do with it or where the box goes afterwards. He said he absolutely has no idea what HE did with the box. Anthony the supervisor said this. Then Anthony said if your name, address, and phone number is on the box, Anthony told me this today on the phone - “The supervisor or any honest employee should take 30 seconds out of their day to call and quickly leave a voicemail stating that you dropped the box off to the wrong carrier. Please pick the box up asap.” But then Anthony said that he was in fact the supervisor. But he still not taking responsibility for the box even tho he admitted to taking the box and not calling me after he realized it was a UPS box. None of this makes sense. I want to press charges against these 2 because she (shown below) told me to hand Anthony the box, then Anthony took the box, so only they know where the box went. Stealing mail is a federal felony, punishable by fines and up to five years in prison, as outlined in 18 U.S. Code § 1708. But I heard from an attorney that trying to deal with theft at a post office is almost undoable because everyone in a supervisor position with the post office has the IQ of a spec of sand and is in on the scam and it’s a government agency and they will NEVER cooperate with anyone BECAUSE THEY DON’T HAVE TO. So, I hope Anthony and his lady pal are enjoying their new $200.00 pair of sneakers.

Came in , of course , I've never shipped anything through usps that wasn't a letter and the person working in the front made me realize why . I'd rather pay more for UPS . Person in the front , darker skin complexion with an accent was super rude . Sorry i was an inconvenience to your morning , I hope you have the day you deserve . This is why people don't go to the post office and rather shop online and have things shipped . I work in customer service and just because someone doesn't know something doesn't mean you can't take the time to explain .

Lazyyyy. These people are so lazy they refuse to do their jobs. I had an insurance check go missing three times and had to put my mail on hold to receive the 4th one!! And now they refused to drop off my cat’s litter because it “didn’t fit in the mail box” well obviously it wouldn’t. It’s a large box. It needs to be drop off at my front door like it does every three weeks. It’s sad that all these bad reviews will do nothing because it’s government building and we need them regardless of how they treat people so they don’t care at all.

Never had an issue with this post office until I encountered this woman. I didn't get her name so I will just call her Bee. I was sending media mail and she very rudely informed me that my packages were subject to inspection to which I said I had no problem. Then she began to vigorously shake the packages. I asked what the point of shaking a package was if they intended to open and inspect it.
Apparently questioning this woman is tantamount to a grave insult and she ran to get her manager who began to verbally abuse me in an elevated volume. Bee stood behind her manager with a smug look on her face and every time I responded to her manager, Bee mocked me openly from behind the counter as if she was a 12 year old school yard bully.
The whole situation was bizarre. I was embarrassed on behalf of these two who never learned how to be civilized adults and have become essentially the cliche of the rude USPS employee.
Somehow the conversation became about how it was impossible to damage books (as a bookseller this is not true and I have to send back many books damaged during shipping) instead of about the rather innocuous comment concerning the potential inefficiency of shaking a package you intend to open.
Stuart is a lovely place full of friendly people. These two individuals are not representative of the community and I feel sorry for the other great employees who work at this post office and have to interact with them on a daily basis. Fortunately, I can and will avoid them.

The African American lady in the front desk was very rude and loud, I didn’t get her name. Apparently I’m not the only one who had issue with her, someone even uploaded a pic of her in the review. She talks like she’s on a street fight or something. No wonder why FedEx and UPS are more successful. Usps hire people with zero customer service skills.

Went to the post office today and was treated with complete disrespect because I had some questions. The woman of course was not wearing a name tag so I couldn’t get her name. When I was confused she laughed at my face instead of simply helping me. I will never use this post office again. A few reviews down someone else wrote a review about the same woman and attached a photo of her. Hopefully something will be done about this because this behavior should not be allowed.
