“Customer service is normally great but there is only one employee at this store and last time she was sick. Asked her why she didn’t have someone to cover for her since she was really sick and the short answer was she is on her own at that store. From that day on I noticed a change in her attitude but compared to other post office this one is one of the best ones close to me!”

“The East Lake Weir Post Office was built in 1950 by the men around lake Weir. The post office started out in a general store in the late 1800's a few doors down. Then the community wanted it's own post office and built it up on a hill on East lake Weir. The mailboxes, safe and scale are from the year it was built and folks enjoy driving up to the working post office to see its History and fine character still standing after all these years.”

“Never in my life have I written a review about a post office, but after the good service I received here, I had to write a public thank you note.I came here a few days before Christmas to ship some things on a Saturday morning, and I got here about 25 minutes before they opened at 8:30 am.Two workers saw me in the parking lot and they said, “ma’am, you can come in now, and we’ll help you.”This was 25 minutes before they opened!!I laughed, and said, “thank you so much! I am here to send off some packages for Christmas!”Then one of the workers came over and said “ma’am, can I help you with the packages?”I drove up here from my home 30 minutes away because this is the only post office that opens at 8:30 AM on Saturday, but this may be my new favorite post office for everything. I am still in shock that they opened 25 minutes early just to accommodate an elderly woman trying to ship things out for Christmas.There are no words to say how grateful I am for their kindness and thoughtfulness.”

“We were disappointed that a custom photo album that we had created to honor my Mother-in-laws 90th birthday was never received, although both the vendor and the USPO website showed delivery completed weeks earlier to a mail lock box in the Villages. After the initial frustration of trying to connect with a live rep, we went from frustrated, to delighted and impressed. Our rep carefully documented the problem and relayed the service request to the Lake Forest Post Office while I was on the line. Within an hour, senior supervisor Holmes Ortiz called back to confirm he had contacted the carrier and would personally drive over to check if necessary. The next day he called to confirm success, but also to please call him back if my MIL didn't receive it that day. Awesome service!”
