I’ve rented bikes here before, and typically, the rental feels like I’m riding a Cadillac of a mountain bike—a well-oiled machine. Unfortunately, my third experience was with a subpar rental.
I brought in quite a bit of business because I introduced some coworkers to mountain biking. About six of us signed up for rentals.
The customer service was 5-star, but the bike was 1-star this time. I'm very disappointed. It must be a sign to buy my own MTB, lol.
@Bikebox, I’d be open to a rental voucher or lesson to compensate for this oversight.

Bike box was a great experience, easy rental and easy pickup. George was very kind and informative, great customer service all around. There are a lot of switches and gears, and he makes sure you know what all of them do before you take off. The bikes are high quality, and as the trail gets more advanced, you can feel confident that your bike will withstand the tough terrain. You get a nice sturdy helmet, the bikes have a space for your water, rubber handles for a good grip, and adjustable seats. Good quality and time for your money and fun challenging activity to do with your kids. Highly recommend if you're looking for a way to get out of the house and work your body out.

Awesome staff to help you pick up gear or rent you a bike for the park trails they also have an awesome bike mechanic if you run into any troubles on your bike on the trails recommend awesome people

Must of caught them on a bad day, but that doesn't justify a poor cocky attitude.My free hub body crapped out while on the trails. I knew just by looking at it that it was obviously the free hub body, so I thought perhaps the guys at the shop can either fix it somehow or atleast confirm my diagnosis.Instead, when I ask the Asian looking dude to look at it, he says with a pompous know it all attitude “well your first problem is you’re riding a single speed on an oval ring.!” All while smirking and giving his boss the side eye.While that’s just a matter of opinion and absolutely nothing to do with the reason I’m there, he then goes to check the hub and noticed the skewer was loose.Well I loosened it on the trails when I removed the wheel to diagnose the problem and didn’t bother to tighten it because I was gonna take it off again anyway.So here’s the kicker : the mechanic tightens my skewer, spins the wheel and gives me that know it all smirk again and says “there you go, all fixed!”Now listen, I might have been born at night, but not last night. Why this dude would think I’d walk half a mile from out the trails to interrupt his busy schedule so he can tighten my skewer, is beyond me.So after patiently removing the wheel and showing him again what was actually the problem, he then confirms and says yup! That’s the problem. No $hit Sherlock.Good thing I know a thing or 2 about bikes, otherwise he would of sent me off back to the trails and possibly a hospital bed.Note to management: level up on quality control.

This is a life saver bike shop it looks small but huge knowledge from the mechanics dude very friendly cool dude after a long ride have a drink have some tacos sit relax you'll be surprised thank you for fixing my bike twice put me back in the trails

These guys are great. They offer the services expected from a trailhead bike shop from a simple fix to a full bike maintenance, they also offer rental bikes, apparel, cold beverages, etc. What makes them 5 stars is their passion for the sport and the level of service they provide. They are the best thing that could have happen to the MTB community at Markham Park. The place offers a nice place to hang out after riding the trails.

This shop is great! I take my bike there for service and rent bikes for friends to ride Markham- always great service and a great playlist too!
