I encountered that same lady at the registers and she also told me to wait behind the batteries until my turn. I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought that was strange. Please explain that one to me. I will never shop there again. When I asked her why there aren’t more self-checkouts open (like some stores do), she said look at the sign, which said “ask for assistance”. Great selection of items, very rude customer service. Yuck.

My visit at five and below is not what I'm normally used to. The African American lady at the checkout was very rude this morning in telling us that we had to stand behind the battery which we didn't understand. She obviously was frustrated and seems to be the only one working in the store. When I went up she did not even greet me or asked me if I needed any type of help or if I found everything okay. She seems to be having a bad day and if this is customer service, she should be pulled to the back and talk to. No one should be yelled at like this if we're spending money to keep the store in business !!!

Went next door to Michael’s to pick up some items for a paint date. My mom recommended I try looking here and wow, I found a ton of cool goodies that I normally wouldn’t find at a five below. In addition, the store is neat and things are easy to find. Sharon at the register was extremely pleasant and kind. I’ve gone to a lot of stores in the past, but her demeanor was a breath of fresh air. More people should be like her. I’m definitely coming back :)

A guy with thick eyebrows and painted blonde hair was really rude at checkout. We arrive late to the store and after a few minutes the clock was exactly on 8 when this person start to yell and pushing off the store in a very unprofessional way. Their look and overall experience was really unpleasant. I know this store is a well respected business but people like this makes me not come back ever.

My kids love 5 below & so do I for little quick goodies. We go to all the different locations a lot. About 3 days ago I went & bought a few little things for my daughters teacher- gum, binder clips, push pins etc.. the next day I decided to give them gift cards instead & so I came back today (about 5min ago) to return maybe 10 items. The older lady working the register at 11:12am - from the moment I walked in was rude. She was giving me a nasty face & when I told her politely that I needed to return the things she looked in the bag & said “oh my God!” Loud. I didn’t say anything & then she proceeded to scan everything making annoyed rude faces. When she was done scanning she then looks at me at with an attitude says..”what happened with all of that?” Umm.. I needed to return it? The customer service today was horrible. She made me feel weird about having to return things I no longer needed.
