Great place, atmosphere, menu, service, and food. Open Friday/Saturday evenings (Some restaurants in area observe Sabbath). Prices are average to high range. Wine is pricey.

Good atmosphere, reasonable prices and good Italian food. There aren't many places to eat well in Surfside at a reasonable price, and this is one of them.

Best for Italian Because: Cafe Ragazzi is beautiful and intimate, with personable waitstaff and phenomenal dishes that keep patrons coming back for years.
This Surfside neighborhood restaurant has grown up: an expanded space has let some much-needed air into the previously noisy, but always festive, trattoria. Dive into deep bowls of homemade pastas like raviolini di vitello (spinach pasta stuffed with veal mousse in sage-seasoned cream sauce). Seafood and fresh porcini mushroom risottos are also done well. A simple, lightly breaded zucchini fritti, served with spicy fra diavolo, is a spirited starter, and for meat-lovers, osso buco, though not always available, is a worthy rendition. Warmly friendly waiters tend glasses, assuring that nobody thirsts for either water or Chianti or another of the decent Italian wines available by the glass.
