This Ace is a stain on the entire company. It's never open in accordance with their posted hours, and when they are open, employees eat at the register or play on their phones. It's 2:33 PM right now, the posted hours say they're open 10 AM to 3PM, but they're closed. I don't know why I keep wasting time trying to shop here.

New location on North Monroe St, a few blocks south of the previous location. It's a bigger building, so I'd expect some added advantages of shopping here. We found our replacement locks for our newly closed on home.😁

Went in to look at some sheet metal, wasn't anyone at the front counter/register. So walked around looking for the metal, couldn't find it. Have a knee brace on and I'm handicap. So couldn't walk down ever isle. Saw several employees from a distance, no one came to check on me. Even heard them greet someone as I was walking out the door. About 9.30-10.00am.

I visit this Ace Hardware at least twice a month to fill my propane. Almost every time, I am told to wait on the person in the back. I have been told that 3 people are trained at the store to fill propane, seems like a good idea to bump those numbers up. It’s a very weird dynamic in this store. A whole family works here, and one associate refers to another as “mommy”. I would recommend taking your money somewhere else for propane services to save yourself the 20 min wait.

I walked in. And 2 black workers were chatting away. Was trying to find seeds. Both seemed to ignore me at first. Then I was pointed in a direction. Black man walked another black customer to their needs. I was wandering. On checkout. The black lady was short and rude. Bad vibe. Won't come back again. This is my neighborhood ace. SadAsian racism

Young man scoured the entire store looking for a specific item for me. He didn't have to and I told him it was okay. But he found it and was happier than a larp about bringing it to me at the register. Very nice guy.
