I came to Allied by a recommendation from my vet. I was told it would be a 1-2 hour wait so I brought my cat in. They placed me in a private room as they believed my cat to be contagious. The room was so cold that even my cat was shivering. I was told I could not let him out of his carrier despite being in a private room, and he had no access to water or a litter box. We waited for over three hours alone in this freezing room with not a single person coming in and providing updates or checking in on us. I finally asked how much longer it would be and was told that it would now be a 5-6 hour wait. I understand that there were patients in worse condition and only one vet, but this is not an excuse for poor customer service. When the wait time goes up that drastically, it’s nice to let people know that. My cat was beyond stressed from this ordeal.

We had two dogs got into some kind of poison at about 10pm. Called them and ran there. They took my pets in immediately and started workingThey stayed overnight and were saved. In fact, Skylar got into the kennel with Taz and comforted him for over an hour.Thank you, Skylar. You went above and beyond. Allied is the best

I went to Allied to pick up a friend’s dog that had to be hospitalized overnight. Just for reference I have owned over a dozen dogs in my life and been to veterinary offices all over the country. This one was by far my worst experience. I waited over an hour to see a veterinarian or even get the dog when there was maybe one other customer in the entire hospital. My friend really wanted to speak to a doctor (had her on speaker phone) and they kept saying they were coming but never did. I had a feeling that if I left that day, we would never hear from the doctor, so I waited and waited but eventually asked to be checked out. Who hospitalizes a dog and never speaks to the owner, not even a call 2 weeks later? Poor customer service. There also was obviously no communication going on behind-the-scenes either, as it took the girls at the front desk three calls before they brought the dog out to me. And when they did, the technician brought me discharge papers, which I briefly looked at before giving them back, since I had already gotten a set earlier during the visit. However I noticed that the time to give medication afterwards were different. When I went to go question this, the poor pup peed all over the lobby mat. She never does that and when we went outside she peed for another minute straight. My guess no one aired her nor did I see anyone run to clean up the mess. I don’t know how the actual veterinarian care is here but the staff definitely needs more training or better supervision.

Older white lady was Sooooo rude. I walked through the door, told her I called ( just to warn what I was coming in with.. not to get ahead or anything) andnshe laughed ( literally laughed) and told me I could go to Northwood. New to town I had to ask where that was and sooooooo glad I was sent there. Northwood was polite and quick.

Very disappointed with my experience at Allied. We brought our cat in for potential kidney failure. I told them several times I believe her issues are kidney related, but alas her kidneys were never checked. In the end, they did a urinalysis and checked her vitals. The next day, we go to Lake Jackson Animal Clinic and they said that she has had hypothermia since the night before as it was documented by Allied. WE WERE NEVER ONCE TOLD THIS, we were told "your cat isnt dying, dont stress about it, her vitals are fine". Vitals cannot be fine if they have hypothermia, a ridiculous statement. Lake Jackson Clinic said that there was no reason whatsoever that they should have told us her vitals were normal and that she was safe to come home. The next day we discovered she had stage 4 kidney failure and had to put down our 4 month old kitten. The vet knew she was dying, I'm about 99 9% positive. I knew she was dying and I'm not a vet. While I'm aware that Allied wouldnt be able to save our cat, they could have at least been transparent about what was going on with our kitten. Dont go here unless absolutely necessary, they will not take what you say seriously, do proper testing, and they will belittle your questions (that all turned out to be correct).

I will start off this review with a positive comment; however, I will then state the negatives. And I apologize for the length! The vets and techs are very caring, empathetic, and explain the issues carefully and concisely. My issue is NOT with the care provided.I have two dogs, which I’ve had 9 and 5 years, respectively. Both are rescues. I ended up taking a third dog last winter, who unfortunately, was dumped by a friend’s house after having given birth with cigar burns all over her body. It took weeks to earn her trust.Gadsden County animal control did absolutely no good, and after three months, a vet suggested giving her a dose of Benadryl to make her sleepy so a rescue org could get her off the streets.Long story short, I couldn’t leave her in this tiny trailer filled with animals with Penny cramped in a crate in the bathroom. My friend couldn’t take her because of aggression issues with her dog.For seven months everything was okay until Penny started showing signs of aggression towards my oldest dog, the alpha.Penny ended up viciously attacking Thea and the way she fought I could tell she was bred to fight. Not only did Penny almost kill Thea but she bit me three times too and knocked me to the ground.Okay, let’s fast forward to Allied. My neighbor helped get the dogs to Allied by taking Thea and Penny went with me.Because of the attack, the tech advised me I could either get her cleaned up, she’d be taken to the pound and euthanized, or have her euthanized there. We did that there.I was asked specifically if I wanted a private cremation or public. I said public; after all, she tried to kill my dog.I have two witnesses who heard me say that.Well, two weeks AFTER the incident and within 24 hours after taking Thea to get drains and staples removed, Allied called me stating I owed $389 for Penny because of a holding fee as they had kept Penny rotting there for TWO WEEKS. They claimed they were waiting for me to let them know which cremation I wanted. WHAT?!? I specifically said PUBLIC CREMATION THE NIGHT OF INCIDENTThey also charged me for an exam: no exam, we euthanized her.I do not contest the fee for the euthanasia but it was THEIR fault they did NOT do as I requested.I have contacted them several times. “We can’t do anything to help you. You need to talk to accounting.” They promised to have that person call me back but would not give me the direct number.I cannot believe Allied had called me after seeing Thea the day before or anytime during those two weeks, and they opened a huge emotional wound considering how l had to euthanize a pet I did love while praying my Thea would live.I am so angry at this money-hungry greedy CORPORATION that bought out Allied. No longer do we have the locally-owned Vet hospital, which is a true shame.Do you have other options if you need an Animal Hospital? I recommend you go anywhere other than Allied.Allied, take heed: was it worth the $200 extra you charged me for YOUR error and refuse to even discuss the matter with me versus this review posted on social media?Btw, this happened in July. I’m just now able to tell this story without being so upset,

We brought our sweet puppy in for an evident blockage. Everyone was so terrific about sharing every necessary step in the process, informing us what was happening even late into the night, and what the options were for treatment and care. Dr. Mathers and Dr. Lamas (!!!) were the best...and all of the support staff were fantastic! We are happy to share that our fur baby came home today, almost back to his old self again! We can't say enough wonderful things about Allied.

Horrible customer service. I had a dog hospitalized overnight and at pick up wanted to speck to a VET that saw my dog and they wouldn’t allow it. The receptionist on the phone the next day said they were too busy to go over findings when there was no one in the waiting room and all rooms open. Very displeased and will not be going back. The receptionist was very rude also when tried to call to speak to someone on the phone.

Our yellow lab, Sugar, had congestive heart failure and we had to make "the" difficult decision. Allied treated Sugar (and me) with kindness and compassion. Sugar left us peacefully, the way she deserved. Thank you, Allied!
