“I don’t normally leave reviews, but I wanted to recognize Maddy for going above and beyond. I requested a very specific room when I renewed my lease nearly a year in advance, and I knew it wasn’t an easy request to accommodate.
Maddy was friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. She kept me updated, advocated for my request, and thanks to her persistence, I ended up getting the room I had hoped for.

The dog park is perfect for my pup. Neighbors are all super friendly and the grounds are well-maintained. Not to mention how much I love my unit!”

“I love this place! My roommate and I just moved in together and we chose Live Oaks to have us. Very friendly staff, very helpful when you have questions or concerns, and they’re fast-acting when there’s an issue. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful, and they help you figure everything out. Would highly recommend out of all the places in Tallahassee!”

“UPDATED - AUGUST 31, 2026 - I thought I posted this previous review over a year ago but I have another update. Our time in Tallahassee ended in July 2026. I have enjoyed our time living in The Westcott Community. We loved our unit and Ms. Foreman was truly a wonderful property manager. I wish her and her staff all the best and thank you for advocating for us to have a nice clean and well maintained community to live in. Thank you!!!! Moved in October 2022...while there were some things that needed to be resolved when I moved in (gravel in the bathroom sink, missing/torn screens for three windows, dryer needed to be fixed), the process was smooth. Considering that I moved from out of town, from a nightmare complex, I considered those minor issues, that are typical with move-in processes. All issues were resolved in a timely manner. Did not learn about the service request app until after I emailed my requests. So fast forward to January 2023, AC unit was replaced. It was a process that took a few hours and it went smoothly. In February 2023, Inspection time and measurements for upgrading the kitchen and bathroom was happening. Amanda, the assistant manager, was on site and noticed a spot on my ceiling. She put in the request to have maintenance look at and a leak was discovered. Billy, the maintenance guy had to cut a hole in the ceiling to find the issue - a corroded pipe. He had the presence of mind to install an access panel so that if another issue arose, cutting the ceiling would not be necessary. One month later, another spot appeared in a different location. Plumber was dispatched located another corroded pipe and because of the access panel, the process to resolve did not take long at all. Maintenance will watch for any other issues or corroded pipes - seems to be an issue that has not yet been discovered - so 4 stars it is. I appreciate the effort and attentiveness. Praying all continues to be positive here. I will update as my time here goes along.”
“This marks my daughter's third apartment during her academic tenure in Tallahassee. I was particularly impressed with the pristine condition of the premises upon her move-in. Minimal cleaning was required, primarily consisting of disinfection. The kitchen appliances and cabinetry presented a new appearance. We are highly satisfied with Jakes place, noting its tranquil environment.”

“I’ve lived at this apartment complex for about two years and overall have had a good experience. The location is great and very close to restaurants and campus, which has been really convenient.
One thing to keep in mind is that it can be pretty loud at night because of the nearby bars, so light sleepers might lose some sleep.
My only real complaint is that the Phase 1 stairwell often smells like pee. It seems like someone is repeatedly using the stairwell as a bathroom, and even after it’s cleaned it usually just smells like bleach mixed with pee. I hope management is able to address this issue.
Aside from that, I’ve enjoyed living here overall.”
“I’ve lived in Tallahassee for 3 years now, and this complex might be my favorite. I’m in a 2x2.5, and it’s spacious, CLEAN, and quiet. Haven’t seen a single bug since moving in, which is a LUXURY in this city. Furniture and appliances are in great condition. Staff is super helpful, and the pool is a big plus.
Now, I’m really writing this review because of maintenance. Two nights ago, our AC stopped working. I put in a work order at 9:30pm. I got a text message from maintenance within 10 minutes. First thing in the morning, before the office even opened, maintenance arrived and started working on the issue. I’m pretty sure his name was Larry. This man ROCKS!! It was hot inside and outside, but he was working hard to get that AC fixed, and he did. I am so impressed. At my previous apartments NxNW and Heritage Grove, the maintenance teams were pretty responsive and got my work orders done within the same week. I have NEVER heard of any apartment complex where maintenance comes and solves an issue in less than 24 hours, especially not an AC issue. I had to think about it, but this has been the case for the few times we’ve needed maintenance. They come same day.
I had my reservations moving here after reading reviews and hearing some horror stories, but my experience has been nothing but smooth and flawless. I genuinely wish that I moved here the day I came to Tallahassee. I’ve been paying the same amount of rent for a 4x4 with no balcony, a place that’s not within a short walk to Publix, and with a smaller pool.
This is THE spot to be.”
“I have lived here 7 years and never had a bad experience at all. I need some maintenance in my home and I have a pet and she pretty much takes over the place while I am at work. Both Ginger & Richard came to see what was going on and made sure my pet did not leave. The issue was solved in a timely matter as always. Something as needed a light bulb change they both will be there for you. This is why I call Savannah Sounds my home. Clean place and a very safe place to live as well.”
