“Excellent service! Wayne called ahead when he was on the way to service my fireplace. He quickly figured out the problem with my gas fireplace that inconsistantly turned on. He offered several repair choices, and then fixed it in short order. He also took the time to explain the operation of my unit. The office staff answering the phone were kind and helpful. “They have enough employees and that's a good thing. Being a contractor for the better part of a decade, Lowe's and Home Depot have both shifted their target audience from independent contractors to home owners. Again, not the end of the world but the days when I could pull my trailer close to enough to the door so the forklift could load a pallet of concrete or drywall on the trailer are long gone. I love the holidays, but I think they kind of overdo it. Obviously it brings a profit or they'd quit doing gimmicks like that. No wonder I can't find an associate when I need one. I do like the handheld devices being implemented. I don't expect every associate to know where everything is at and be knowledgeable on the subject. It's easier for them to show you to the isle and give you the specs on different tools/etc even if that's not their specialty. (B-) Employees are equipped with better tools that help stock and locate items IF management doesn't have them stringing lights in the parking lot. The biggest reason for the B- is that they're trying to transition to a big boss store that happens to have wood. They have basic materials but I can tell they've reduced construction inventory for more room for a few inflatable Santas??♂️”

The consumer benefits with the choices and can analyze the best value and price for your project. Most important they have GREAT customer service with good attention to detail.”

“Our chest freezer suddenly went kaput. We called Mays-Munroe to see if they had any in stock and to see if we could get one delivered ASAP. Thank good news we got Mark Munroe on the phone. He was so helpful and assured us that he could have a freezer delivered to us the next day. He also offered suggestions on how to keep the interior of the freezer cold until it could be replaced. The following day as promised we received our freezer and the delivery men were just as helpful and friendly.
Due to their promptness and Mark's suggestions, we had little food loss. Great customer service! Would definitely recommend this establishment.”

“I miss the days of us old guys being able to get in, get what we need and get out. Sadly HD caters to folks who have no idea of what a left handed Phillips head screw driver is. FYI there is no such thing. So it is. You can still find what you need but you have to negotiate all the people walking around like a teenage boy visiting a nudest colony for the first time. You also will have to spend way too much time sorting out what is and what is not where it is supposed to be. Things like PVC fittings are the one that really annoys me. But, HD appears to not want to hire anyone and a lot of the ones they hire are as lazy as a hound in July. I would say the vast majority of the employees are great and very busy if you know the 90/10 rule then you get it. I still go and still spend way too much $ there but I still see what is going on. So please, do your prep work, leave your dogs at home have a good idea of what you want before you arrive. I highly suggest using their website and print out what you want and where that is. That way you will be in and out that much faster.”
