I booked the day of for 8pm pick up. Two different customer service reps told me that had cars. But when I showed up there were no cars available.

Recently rented a car for personal use and then again for a short business trip. Quality cars, good pricing, and professional service both times, at different locations. I've used Avis in the past and I think their service has improved. I recommend it to anyone needing a rental.

Staff at the counter was very helpful and took care of us quickly.Price of rentals have went up and the cleanliness of the vehicles have decreased. Rented two vehicles and bith were in the same condition, dirty. Very dirty vehicles and seems that Avis staff preparing them to be picked up don't care about how these vehicles look. The radio was up super loud to abnoxious music when first started the vehicle. The radio stopped working nervous times during the use and you would have to reset it for it too work again. This is a problem when it happens while using the hands free map and loose connection.Wiper blades horrible, it begin to rain and they just smeared the windshield to make it even worse trying to see.

Lois at Tallahassee airport is awesome!!! Avis is a reliable company to rent cars from. I’ve used others and Avis provides consistent, reliable service.

The car I received didn’t have working AC. I waited in line for ever. They had a hard time even finding me a car as I stood at the counter. This was at the Tallahassee airport location and my vehicle was so dirty I had to pull over and clean the inside of my windshield to even see out of it. My rental total was $60 more than my reservation because they didn’t have the car I reserved. I called customer service 3 times and the suggested I talk to roadside assistance, I had an appointment that I had to be at by a certain time and was just a horrible experience especially driving in the Florida heat for 8 hrs to my destination

Reserved a car and car seat when we flew in for a wedding. We arrived at the counter with our 1yr old and were told that there were no car seats despite our reservation.Staff was super unhelpful and offered no assistance or effort to find a solution.Luckily Hertz staff next door were super helpful and helped us out.Rent with Hertz. Not Avis.

I am very Disappointed with my experience from Avis/budget. I show up to get the vehicle I was given a vehicle that smelled so strong of weed I was paranoid to drive it across the state line. I should not of even been given a vehicle like that. So I went in back in and switched it out for another vehicle. Then I proceeded with my trip. I had stopped somewhere and realized I grabbed my keys not the rental go to open the door to get rental keys out and the car locked itself. My phone , money everything was in the car. So I barrow a strangers phone to call Avis/budget to see if it can be unlocked remotely somehow. If not I will need them to send roadside service. TheRepresentative That answer the phone told me she believed it could be open remotely and she put me on hold to speak to road. I couldn’t get a live person for roadside assistance no matter how many times I push the button or said representative. I am using a strangers phone I don’t want to continue to tie up his phone so I hang up call the 800 number back again get another agent, ask them to put me through to the automated service that I needed a representative. They put me right back through the automated service. I could not get roadside service. What would’ve happened was more serious than just a lockout. So I ended up borrowing another strangers phone to call a local tow service in the town paid 300 for an unlock service.

Although this location was low on vehicle availability they made sure to have a vehicle set aside for me that was not a downgrade. I appreciate the staff and team who helped make this reservation as smooth as possible with limited resources.

When I picked up the car, the customer service rep was excellent. Dropping off the car was a NIGHTMARE! The parking lot return clerk was rude and self centered. She lost her cell phone then abandoned her post. I then had to walk upstairs to the Avis counter; wait in line for another 10 minutes only to be instructed to leave the keys on the counter. Then to my surprise I was charged an additional $75 for an extra hour! I am happy to say that the extra money will be refunded back to my card.

The worst experience renting from Avis was from this location. I made a reservation, plenty of cars in the lot to choose from, but yet when I go to pick up the car I reserved I was refused to be given one. Was met with attitude from two bothered women at the desk that would rather sit on their phones on FaceTime. This location definitely need a whole new group of representatives of this company. As a presidential club member I am very disappointed in the lack of professionalism.

We ordered a luxury car several months in advanced, and was told that they only had a sports car available, when we arrived. The car was okay, but it had a dent on the passenger side. If we wanted a sports car, we would have asked for a sports car. This car was of a lower caliber than we already own. This is the second time this has happened! The staff was very nice.

I had an amazing experience interacting with the representative at the Tallahassee airport! She was incredibly knowledgeable and extremely helpful. However, my positive encounter came to an unfortunate end. I ended up being charged more than $400 in additional fees, which seemed completely unnecessary. This included over $150 for gas and a late return fee, even though I returned the rental on time.I contacted customer service about these charges, and they assured me that the credit for these fees would reflect in a few minutes. It has now been several days, and I still haven't received a refund. I'm on the verge of reaching out to my credit card company to report this as potential fraud. My experience with Avis has been extremely disappointing. I'm starting to wonder if this is the rental industry as a whole.
