BEWARE!!!!! I’m extremely unhappy with Banfield. I wish I could give them a 0. They truly only care about money. They will pressure you into getting the Wellness Plan and falsely advertise it, but it is a huge scam! You would be better off getting pet insurance for the same price or cheaper. Besides the vaccines, there is no benefit at all. There is also no way to cancel the plan even if your pet has passed away or you no longer have your pet. Customer service is absolutely horrendous. You will not be able to get someone on the phone, no matter what day or time you call. They do not care about helping you, only about taking your money. 0/10 would not recommend.

I scheduled my frenchies first appointment online and as they confirmed my appointment I explained I had an account years ago. I said that to ask If I could use the free first appointment coupon. I was told yes. I reiterated I have been there before but not the puppy I was bringing in. They again said Yes that is no problem. Showed up for my appointment and the girl in the front so dryly told me they couldn’t honor it. Respectfully and calmly I asked again explaining the conversation with the lady a day prior and again so nonchalantly I was told no. Lack of empathy that I live across town and was late for work for the appointment I couldn’t do. I left and gathered my thoughts, called the same young lady back and her voice was a tone of “eff you” while I asked was there someone who could make an exception due to the misinformation given on the phone. “Maam we can’t” and that was it. Let me explain, I understand if it couldn’t be done for whatever reason. My problem is I was told I could and I said please don’t let me go way out there and get any surprises, but SURPRISE I went out there with no avail or true accountability. As a manager you should always take ownership over your employees. That cost wasn’t going to make them close their doors to offer it. If it were, they wouldn’t offer free exams in the first place. This was a very disheartening experience

Over priced services . One of my pets is allergic to their vaccines, so they charge me almost 200 for an allergy shot so my pet can take the vaccines. I later found out I could have given my Benadryl before the visit. I have a pet protection plan and still paying 200+ ! No thank you.

I wouldn't let Roxana De Leon come near my dogs ever again. I can't believe a pet hospital such as Banfield hires such horrible people. Beware taking your pets here. You can't trust the staff. My dogs wouldn't stop peeing in the house after Roxana took care of them. And she stole a days worth of sitting from us. Didn't even show up the last day. What a thief.

Been my vets for years and 4 dogs of which two are still with us. They are elders now because of their care.

This operation has gone downhill since they opened their stand-alone facility outside of Petsmart. Previously the front desk was friendly, loved the pets that came in, and could communicate intelligently. Also, the vet would talk to you in person about your pet. Now they will only call you on the phone. Vet techs can only speak to you about your plan and not your pets specifics upon intake. It's only drop off appointments now as well. I just learned my plan payments for three dogs haven't processed due to my card being replaced. When they called to schedule a comprehensive exam for the wrong pet, and I complained about not receiving notice of payment not processing they said "that's the wellness team". As a customer that is not the right response. I'll take that cue to find another vet who will speak to me.

Their wellness plans are an absolute joke and they will pressure you into getting one. Before you sign, please get a second opinion!! Canceling the plan is nearly impossible without huge penalties and even once your plan is expired, they charge you. Customer service is an absolute joke. Run!

Bandfield Pet Hospital in little elm impressed me with their prompt service. Our scheduled first time appointment led us straight to a vet, where we received quick, courteous assistance and clear, informative answers

Took my dog there for her annual shots via her wellness plan (which is a great value on its own). She apparently had a good time as she was whining when we left and she usually only does that when we leave her sitters place because she loves the play time. Anyway I appreciate that after all her services they called the next day to check on her and make sure she didn't have any issues with all the shots. Good bunch of people there and I'd highly recommend them. Ms Diva says see ya later gator lol

Tl;Dr: Everyone is very nice, they have good availability including day-of appointments that are the same price as visits that are scheduled out, but they really dropped the ball on communication. If you send an email, follow up with a phone call to make sure they received it. Don't be afraid to call and ask about your pet, especially if you get told "the vet will call soon" and do not receive a call soon. The full story, for those who care: I dropped my cat off by 9:45am and didn't get him back until almost 6pm. I called 2x to check on him, once at 2:40pm and once at 5:10pm. Both times I was told I would get a call "soon", the second time I was quoted 20 minutes, which was not the truth.Upon finally getting a call from the vet at 5:45 I was updated on my boy's condition. I expressed my frustration to the vet and she informed me that they hadn't received my cat's vet records until after lunch (unsure what time), when my email clearly states I sent it at 10:21am, which I double checked upon sending and again during the vet's call. Not sure what happened there, maybe a tech mishap, I'll attribute that to not being their fault. If I had known they wouldn't touch him until they had it, I would've stood in the reception area and made sure they got it. But I didn't know that, so I didn't. If you're sending an email, call to check if they got it or you and your pet may be left waiting like we were.Additionally, I was told by both the vet and the vet tech, Josh (who was very understanding and kind, but clearly in a rush -- no shade, I know all vets are short staffed these days), that apparently no one informed them I had called. That's very clearly the fault of someone who works there. My boy is both a senior and FIV+ which could mean complications any time he gets sick, and the lack of communication had me sick with worry. All that being said, everyone I interacted with was polite and understanding of how I felt. The care my cat received was exactly what I expected. They were the only vet in town I called who had an opening today where the visit wasn't $90+ and for a lot of people, that is a deciding factor.

This place is a joke. Dropped of a kitten today for a regular checkup, vet techs were not helpful at all and no one let me talk to a doctor to ask questions about my kittens health. If you have any other options do not go here. I've never had such bad service and attitude from a vet ever. The people working here would do better in fast food. At least there the attitude and lack of care is expected.

My dog and I always have an enjoyable experience when we go to Banfield. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend using them for your pet's needs.
