Don't use this rental car company first thing in the morning, they will make sure to take their time, and your tone is not what is important in the morning.Was dropping my partner off to pick up a rental, and had to go in to give my credit card and instead of having it ready was told that she was going to take her tone at the desk to make sure it is done right instead of it being quick so that I can get to work.

Made my reservation and my unit was not available. I was late to work because of this. Then I was transferred to pickup @ airport but I was charged more with no explanation and had to wait another hour and a half for the car. When I got the car, it was dirty. More than likely will not rent from here again.

The price was reasonable and compared well to other rental companies. The pick up and drop off procedure was flawless. I was given a better vehicle than I had reserved.

I'm not sure how this business operates successfully, because I have never had a great experience. When you make a reservation why would they allow you to select a car if they don't have that type available? Then you made a reservation so should they have it ready when you made your appointment. It makes no sense.

I waited two and half hours at the Budget counter In Tallahassee only to receive a filthy car. All of the windows were covered with dirt and the inside windows were smeared. I had to purchase a bottle of winder.

They had no inventory upon my arrival , had to wait 2.5 hours . One of the agents seemed to provide preferential treatment to other renters . She said infront of me that we need to squeeze in a renter somehow into the wait queue and they had just arrived. Seemed they knew each other. This was the worse experience I have ever had renting a car . I DM’d @budget on X ( twitter) with no response.

Awesome customer service! There was only one person working the counter and the line was long but the young lady working the counter was literally helping two customers at one time. She made everyone feel welcomed and she was fast and efficient. I later found out that the lady behind the counter was the manager. What a great example for the team. I travel for work and Budget is my go to car rental agency and I can say no matter what city/state I’ve used Budget, this has been my best experience so far!

I prepaid for a van to move my daughter out of town for college. I arrived ahead of my pickup time on August 5th for there to be an extremely long line. After waiting over 30 minutes, I was told they didn’t have any vans and it would take over an hour to get one from another location and clean it up. I asked if they had anything similar and explained how many people would be in the vehicle and I needed it to move my daughter in to her college. I was told there wasn’t anything else available. When I asked about canceling the reservation, I was told it couldn’t be done from there, I would have to call to receive a refund. I was told to tell them they didn’t have the vehicle, and I needed a refund. When I finally reached someone through Budget’s customer service line, I explained my earlier issues and being told to call and tell them they didn’t have the vehicle when I went to pick it up, so I needed a refund. The rep said she was canceling the reservation. I specifically asked if I was receiving the full refund and clarified I wasn’t being penalized for it. She stated “of course not. The refund has already been processed.” I later received an email stating “your prepaid reservation has been canceled. The prepaid rental amount (minus $150.00) will be refunded on a credit card within 3-10 business days.” I was supposed to receive a full refund. I called my credit card company last week to dispute the charge. As of today, I still have not received a refund. The canceled reservation is not showing up in the reservation history online.

I was very disappointed. The charges were incorrect. I selected the gas option so that I didn’t have to fill the truck up before returning it. And I was charged for gas at 9.99 per gallon. I had to change it multiple times after the reservation was set up online and obviously the computer system never corrected it the multiple times I selected the gas option. I will not use Budget again. And I wont recommend Budget. The gas charge doubled my cost. I could have put gas in had I known the option wasn’t selected. I even told the guy at the counter when I was picking it up (gas and insurance are covered). The wait at the airport counter was so long. The truck was dirty in the interior. Had old rotten food in the console. Orange or lemon peels and seeds. Just another bad rental from AVIS/Budget.

Arguably the worst car rental place I've been to. Which is hard to do. Had a reservation and said they did not have any vehicles.

I had a confirmation number in my hand and went to go pick up a reserved car. There were no cars available. Not my reserved car, no downgrades, no alternatives or ETA, just no cars available. Lost money ubering to this location and then back home.

Terrible experience, When i got to the ticket counter they said i was on the DO NOT RENT list due to a vehicle that i rented in 2018, that they said i did not return. AFTER 2 HOURS< the only bright spot was a lady named Rose at the Tallahassee airport who was helpful. Definitely not worth it , i wish i knew i still had the car, they probably have rented the car that they said i didn’t return. Makes no Sense.. I also sat there and watched a number of people return the cars that they just rented because of maintenance issues with the car.

They deserve 0 stars. Avis claims my returned rental had a damaged windshield. There was not an employee in the return area and unfortunately I did not take photos. At the time of return the windshield was not cracked or damaged and I believe the windshield was damaged after I returned the vehicle and Avis charged my credit card for the repair (2 months later) without any proof of damage at the time of return. I will never rent from Avis/Budget in the future and will now take photos of entire vehicle at time of rental and time of return.

Van was not available after reserving back in February and then a confirmation comes to my email days before confirming pick up. Arrived at the counter on May 25th and van was not available. The two ladies at the counter was as helpful as they could be. They were really helpful. Get a handle on your inventory. After much conversation, one was found an hour later. Had to wait another 45 minutes for curbside pick up. Van was not clean, and license plate was hanging by one screw. I appreciated you finally finding a van, but transaction could have gone smoother.
