I booked 2 rooms at this location over the phone with customer service. I was not informed of a $25 per room security/damage fee deposit was also charged to my card. I was only informed at checkout by the person at the front desk that I was charged this “fee” and would be refunded in 7-10 business days, front desk admitted that this “fee” is often not disclosed to customers prior to making reservations. This is credit fraud in my estimation. Candlewood suites is holding $50 of my credit without consent. How do I know that the refund will happen? I will be contacting my credit card company as well and filing a complaint-this is outrageous business practice. I will not do business with this company again!

I have been staying in this hotel for almost 2 most for work mater. First time at a Candlewood Suites and was not what I expected. Staff is not helpful, Had a major issue trying to get additional towels from hotel manager or the guy who is every evening at front desk, who was neither helpful nor friendly. Bed Comforter are stained. Towels dirty. A/V Filter was filthy and the extractor fan in bathroom also filthy. They don’t clean the room. This is suppose to be done once a week, when finally is the day, one get there from workin and the room is NOT DONE, they also change the day is schedule to have your room cleaned, they changes that with no previous notice. Believe me it’s disgusting. It would be better to have a little vacuum in every room so the customer do the cleaning them selves. I do not care if I am Diamond guest or whatever I won’t ever stay is this place in my life.

Roaches!! I found an infestation when I first got in and left immediately. Couldn’t get anyone at the front desk for 45 minutes when trying to check out. No non-pet-friendly rooms, animal hair over everything, including the kitchen and bedding - so gross!

Rooms: The room was the right temp and didn’t have an odor - so pleasant right off the bat. It was clean. The beds comfy. The bathroom nicely appointed and CLEAN. Didn’t need the kitchen, but it was clean as well. Giving the property 5 stars for our needs - a friendly, safe and clean spot to sleep while traveling.Noteworthy details: Very friendly staff. Checked in at 2 am and someone was at the desk working and was friendly. Didn’t have to ring a bell and wait, which is great coming off of a long drive. The property was well kept and felt safe. Also nice at 2 am.

We use them for renting their conference room and throwing a Christmas party and they're always eager to help us. Everything's very clean and nice

Comfortable extended stay type hotel. They have a place in the lobby (lending locker) where you can borrow pots and pans and other accessories if needed. I think i recall their onsite laundry to be free for paying customers. Also, in walking distance of convenience store and a few restaurants. We took a 10 minute walk to the cracker barrel. There's also a Captain D's restaurant within walking distance.

The hotel was nice, but not worth the stay. As soon as I checked in with the front desk, I was told I wasn't allowed to stay here. It was rather uncomfortablely awkward, to say the least. Apparently, there had been some locals who's trashed their rooms, so if you live in Tallahassee, they've blocked us from staying at this hotel. Needless to say, I felt very unwelcome. As a Platinum IHG Member, I was told I could stay due to my status even though I offered to leave as long as I could get a refund. My house doesn't have a gym or pool so I visit hotels EOW for a personal staycation. With that said, I've stayed in every IHG hotel here, and this was the first time I've ever been told I'm not welcomed back at check-in.. smh.Rooms: Really nice jr suites.. they have everything you need. Just bring your own food!Safety: Honestly, I didn't feel safe outside of my room. There are a few cameras but not enough. I was constantly being watched by guys around the hotel. I went to the gym 1st as I always work out before swimming so my muscles can relax afterward. I had no idea that the laundry mat was connected to the gym. It wasn't until i was on my last 10 minutes on the treadmill that i noticed a gym sitting on the edge on the laundry mat room or by the door watching me with his laptop.. i thought i was just seeing things until I looked backward in the mirror behind me, we locked eyes, and my heart started pounding in fear, so i stopped asap and left. At the pool, I was stocked by a Mexican young man to the point where I just left after seeing him just watching me swim for 15 mins.. no one with him, he wasn't dressed for the pool.. just sat there and watched me swim. When I went to go inside, he got up, walked to the door, and asked me if I wanted to have a beer with him.. I quickly declined and stayed in my room til my husband arrived that evening.Food & drinks: No bar and no restaurant.. but you can cook in your room.Noteworthy details: They don't allow locals here.. despite it not being on their website.

I had a great experience during my first overnight stay here, Halloween 2023. The hotel employees were very informative and pleasant from the time you enter the hotel lobby. My room was comfortable, spacious and really thought out for a nice visit. It had a kitchenette w/ a garbage disposal and sink, full size fridge n freezer combo and a over the range microwave, 2 burner flat stove cooking surface and dishwashing machine, as well as a mini coffee pot, personal toaster, pots, pans, dishes and other kitchen essentials were also provided. The hotel is located in an area near different restaurants, everything from seafood, fondue/ melting pots jus to name a couple, as well as convenient gas stations and other food, grocery businesses. Definitely look forward to my future visits for work here.

I want to love this place, I really do. The hotel was clean, the staff was pleasant and helpful. We stayed there during the hurricane, and they waived the pet fee. Check-in was fast and the price was reasonable. When we came in to the room and checked around, everything looked great (see pictures). When I got out of bed, I noticed the blood-print on the sheet (see picture) and when I got my cat from behind the curtain I noticed the plug was missing a cover (see picture). So be a little careful of the linens and double-check if you have kids... Aside from that, everything was great. Like a said, I want to love this place... But it loses a couple stars.

We evacuated from Hurricane Idealia with our "Fur Babies" and found a very safe and Oasis away from home at the CandleWood Suites in Tallahassee. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and all our questions were answered by a very Professional Front Desk Clerk. Our room was properly prepared and well stocked with all of the essentials we required. The Full Kitchen was wonderful and contained all of the equiptment we could ask for.My wife and I were extremely impressed by the clean Suite and the "Wonderful" Sealy mattress. Our room was climate controlled and very comfortable. The TV offered a wide variety of channels and kept us updated on the Hurricane. We stayed for two nights and felt like we were treated as "Family" by ALL of the Staff that we had interactions with.Kudos to the Managers as your Dedication and Employee Training is extremely noticable. Thanks again and it was "Our Pleasure" to be your Guest.

I checked in last night at 11pm. I had been on the road since 8 am and was exhausted and just ready. I walked in, and it took 30 minutes to check in, while being told first that the room I paid for through their app isn't available. So I have to get a 1 bed, which means one of us had to sleep on a couch. Then we are told that all the rooms had been sold out. How can you allow people to make reservations and then tall them once they are there that you're too booked.I heard people had issues with their door not letting them in and bugs in others rooms from people coming into the lobby. The room was spectacular and super clean. The bed was super comfortable and I slept well, didn't even hear the elevator outside my door which was nice.
