I have surveyed the market and I can tell you that Fit and Functional Is the best in individualized physical therapy. I had been essentially bed-ridden for 18 months, primarily with serious nerve damage from a fall down a long flight of steps. After many surgeries, my pain management team gave me a choice of 10 physical therapists. I stayed with my first choice for 6 months. Although highly rated, they did it "by the book" without regard to my personal situation. And it was not a private session: A physical therapist would get me started on an exercise and then get the next person started. What's more, even with medical insurance, my out-of-pocket costs were very high. Over time, I visited every place on the surgeon's list, tried some, and was eventually referred to Fit and Functional by a family member who is excellent at medical research. She recognized that Sherman and his staff had the exceptional training I needed. My situation could not be handled with a cookie-cutter approach. I have been with Fit and Functional for 10 months. First, they worked on my balance issues so I would stop falling even on a level surface. They have steadily helped me regain strength and stamina. I go twice a week and work with a private physical therapist who is terrific. I could not ask for anyone better - this includes Sherman and anyone else I've worked with. They understand MY body and what I need to do. Sherman diagnosed my lymph node problems before the medical doctors did and he adjusted my sessions accordingly. I am steadily improving and look forward to my sessions there, which, by the way, cost less than the recommended physical therapists.

I have found F&F to be well managed and an excellent gym. I always feel welcome and valued as a member. The gym is always clean, orderly, and pleasant. The staff is professional, cordial, sensitive to my training needs, and helpful to me--always! No problems experienced at all. I like the smaller and positive atmosphere and the expertise of the trainers and staff. Sherman expertly assessed my baseline level before I started. Jervan utilized baseline information to effectively and efficiently plan routines that cover all Core 7 areas and target the areas that need attention most. He is knowledgeable and flexible, and appropriately challenges me to achieve my goals. I highly recommend Fit and Functional and Jervan. I look forward to going to Fit and Functional!

The Core 7 staff is friendly, encouraging, and well educated in proper form and technique. The small group environment provides one-on-one attention from the professional trainers. There are always new exercises and modifications to keep my muscles guessing. It's a one of a kind strength and stability program that guides me in achieving my personalized fitness goals. The workouts are challenging and fun!

Personalized approach, smart-build program and a lot of variety. I've done 6+ months of multiple sessions a week preparing for summer 2016 Olympics and rarely had to do the same exercise twice. Highly recommend Sherman if you are into core fitness and controlled, smart approach. Multiple levels make it easy to find what you need.
