The customer service is lacking. The website payment center is slow to display payments made despite paying quickly with a debit card resulting in orders taking over a week to process. We are stuck with this company because they placed the rusty old tank (that we lease annually) in a spot that inhibits any other gas company from offering us service. Would give zero stars or go back to city gas if I could.

I am very impressed with Ferrellgas! I feel valued as a customer. I particularly like the professionalism of the delivery men and the company's reliability. They can be relied on to deliver as scheduled!

Edit: Spoke to Pam. Very sweet, respectful, and helpful representative. She agreed that I’m a pay ahead customer and they should’ve included the charge on my statement. She’s trying to get it sorted but I will still be looking for another company at this point and comparing the pros and cons of switching services.
Last service I had with them, the servicer didn’t turn back on the tank and left the top of my tank open. I couldn’t figure out what was wrong with my tank because they said they had finished the refill and to leave the gas stove running until it lit, something I was very nervous to do. After about an hour and a call to a friend, we realized the person who did the refill didn’t finish the job and I turned it back on and checked the tank status as well as closing it up after it had been rained on with my friend’s help to make sure that wouldn’t be a problem. They charge before they come out. You pay for the services before they arrive. About a month later, they’ve randomly added another $50 fee to my account saying they did a leak check I didn’t request or agree to, which considering they didn’t even turn back on the valve, I doubt they did since the tank was completely empty meaning there was no gas to test the line for a leak. Highly unethical to just “include” other services and try to take advantage of customers. I’ll probably be looking to be serviced by a different company moving forward due to the dishonesty.

I have been using Ferrellgas for about 8 years now and without a hitch. The people are friendly and easy to work with. Great company.

Truth be told Ferrell emailed me about rating them, I had moved on.
I have had service with Ferrell Gas for 5 years and I left them for Southern Propane because of a excessive charge that took my balance from a -$150.00 to owing $444.45. I had my tank filled all 80 Gallons and when I got home Friday after 8pm I smelled Gas. i called and I was told that they would send some one but there would be a charge. Me not being able to enter my home and scared because I smelled Gas I asked what is the charge they said we cant tell you because we do not know what the problem is. I asked what was the minimum charge again i was told I they didn't know. Because I had an emergency I had to have them come because something was wrong. They come out and thank God nothing was wrong just some left over Gas from filing the tank. Technician was Great checked everything very polite was not there more than 30min - 60 min. Then I get the bill and it is $594.45. I called and i said what are these extra charges outside from the gas and services charge for brining the gas? Come to find out I am charged extra for owning my own tank. I complained about the fees and they said that they would call the local office and someone would contact me, but we typically do not waive any fees. Never heard and still have not heard from any one, just collection calls. I paid $392.16 of the bill and i am still waiting to discuss the additional charges of $202.29. In the mean time I am accumulating late fees which i am not going to pay. Putting a customer in a situation where they have to choose between calling the gas company or the fire station is not fair and the customer should know the minimum fee before you come out especially with gas because houses have exploded. All I can say to everyone is beware of the after hours fee and the extra charge for owning your own tank. I hope this helps Ferrell Change the way they do business because overall i was satisfied with the service.

I recently purchased my 250 gallon tank. The gentlemen I worked with, Cris Coates and Dan Solliette, handled the transaction quickly and sufficiently.

Normally the service is good. However I guess I received a delivery on 20 Mar h 2024. I was here all day and never saw the driver. And even if gone or here why didn’t they leave a ticket showing the amount of LP that was delivered. I called and explained that I was upset that no delivery ticket. The woman who took my call said yes they have new drivers and they have had complaints about drivers not leaving delivery tickets. What a way to run a business. 600 dollar charge and no ticket? Not my way of running a business. Totally unacceptable.

Bought a property with a Ferrell gas tank on it, I haven’t had gas in the tank for two years, since when I bought the house there was a warning about leaking gas from the connections, but the company has been charging me a rental fee for the tank of about $200 per year. No has come to service the tank. I told them to take the tank and the CS lady gave me some attitude.

Update: We switched to Southern Quality Propane. They were able to get the job done! Now for the Ferrellgas Review: Tank is sitting on zero in January. That part is my fault. I should have kept better track. But they are telling me it will be TWO WEEKS before I can expect a delivery. I have always paid on time, by the way. Meanwhile, I came to find out they KNEW my tank is empty and took the same level of initiative to do something as the level of gas in the tank: zero. I am looking for a new supplier.

They delivered my gas to the wrong house now I'm almost out and can't get anyone to answer the phone or even call me back. I've been trying for a week now. It's big business that just doesn't care!

Not sure what happened beteween Fed 2023 and now. In Feb, I scheduled a service call, they came right out, replaced my regulator and charged me a single service fee for the work, which was done within a couple days of me calling. Now, I called for changing about 1.5 feet or pipe for my generator from 3/4 to 1/5 inch. They took almost two weeks to schedule, then they never came until I called - "opps, sorry, we seem to have missed several calls that day." Then they came out and did nothing except say, yes, you need exactly what you said. We'll call you. Then they charged me $170 for five minutes they were here. Now, two weeks later (after I called twice) they finally sent me an estimate for an additional $600 to actually do the work that will take them less than an hour. I've been with them since I bought my house in 2019 but I'll be calling other companies tomorrow.

This company is price gouging and that is downright inhumane! For some of us propane gas is a necessity. There needs to be more of a regulation for corrupt companies like this! I was a loyal customer and I called to get my tank refilled. They quoted me 3.79 a gallon. I thought that was pretty high but understood inflation has changed things but then they wanted me to pay in advance but couldn’t come out for a week and a half out from the date I called. I told them I didn’t feel comfortable paying $800 in advance & waiting almost 2 weeks for gas. The lady on the phone got rude with me & just hung up on me when I asked about other options! That incident was a BLESSING! I started calling all the propane suppliers in the area and the other big competitor (A_____gas) offered me a 1.89 per gallon new customer rate and after that would be $2.15 in the future!!! That’s a huge difference!! This business should be fined for such price gouging!!

Stay away!! This company is dishonest!! We have 2 on demand hot water heaters and a cook top. Ferrell gas purchased our local propane dealer and took over ownership of our tank. For the last five years we used an average of 6-8 gallons a month. We ran out unexpectedly Oct of 22. Requested only 100 gallons. They filled it up at 260 gallons. No leak supposedly. Ran out June of 2023. Had to wait 10 days for service. We were not on keep full status. Usually they fill when no one is home. I stayed home that day to be sure driver tested for leaks. I saw driver hook up machine, less than a minute claims no leaks. Fills the tank with 260 gallons. When driver left I sprayed soapy water on valve and pressure reducer. All leaking like a sive. Ferrell gas did send out technicians that afternoon, they did not have nice things to say about the company. Technicians claimed the leak has been there a long time due to the propane saturation of the soil around the valve and pressure reducer. The bill came stating the fix was the day before the fill and green tagged. On top of that Ferrell gas charged to fix their tank. Trying to settle something fair, Ferrell gas is pretty much calling us liars and we have no proof. Really?????? Also Ferrell gas claiming they are not responsible for leaks inside house. Had a local company come out days after the fill. The house was pressure tested no leaks.
