For a service that is supposed to help struggling businesses after the hurricane with a grant they failed. They make you jump through hoops to get them information they require (not to mention the large amount of time it takes to put the paperwork together), have phone calls that almost guarantee they will help you and then deny your claim for a requirement that was never listed or explained. They even called when I told them i didn’t think I could qualify and convinced me to spend more time to get everything together because they wanted to help me. They felt I did qualify and walked me through what I needed. I provided all required documents and even found an old employee struggling after the storm who was willing to fill out the paperwork. After all that I was denied and on top of it I had to tell that employee they weren’t receiving any grant money. Highly disappointed in their level of “support” and their business practices. Do not trust this organization to do the right thing!UPDATE- The app doesn’t allow me to rebuttal to the response just posted to my review. I lost my second store due to damage, my current store still has damages and my insurance (just like everyone else’s in Florida, declined me). The application states it is there to help owners and employees in need, there really is nothing more to say than the association is a scam. There is a reason why your organization has 3 stars on google.

The recent public comments from this office regarding unemployment are disgusting. Unemployment benefits are NOT the reason mom and pop restaurants/businesses and multimillion resorts jobs are going unfilled. It's because the people that used to work for them had to start over when they lost everything 3/20/20? Living paycheck to paycheck and waiting for season to catch up on the bills. This industry did nothing to help. It was like... hey you just lost your job thank God we don't give benefits, vacation and by the way good luck getting unemployment. So I honestly hope these businesses struggle immensely with finding employees. They deserve it. The people that once depended on them have moved on.

We work with the FRLA as one of our marketing partners. Every associate we do business with in regard to print projects, conferences, events, etc... is always a pleasure to work with. We always appreciate the recognition we receive at their annual Marketing and Operations Summit. We *could* just be in the background as a marketing vendor, but they always make a point to come to our booth, thank us, and recognize us in their presentations. We truly feel our partnership is appreciated.

I wish they are more environment friendly! I agree that the place still needs work but overall, I am not losing hope that they will improve in the future. I left a 1 star review so that they will remember what I said about them and make mental note for the future.

Regardless of any of your positive actions on behalf of the Florida hospitality industry, your objection to plastic and styrofoam bans renders your services inutile. As a state that relies on our environment to draw the tourism that runs our economy, we have to preserve it. You can lead, follow, or get out of the way. Drop the opposition to the bans and become a useful member of our Florida economy.

They were a key reason that cities have LOST their ability to regulate toxic Styrofoam products. They work closely with the Florida Retail Federation and have a powerful influence in the State of Florida.

As a motel customer 1. rip out those stinky nasty carpets or clean them on a regular basis2. hire someone who doesnt leave huge amounts of caulking around sinks tubs etc3. hire someone who doesnt smear paint everywhere and will actually cover the patch jobThese few little things make a big difference
