This is basically an update on my experience with H&R Block 2 months ago. After having the first bad experience on Mahan I decided to make the appointment with the H&R Block Southwood Office. Got my appointment with Cassandra Forbes. When so get there she proceeds to get my information. Keep in mind that I had always done my taxes online so all my information could have been pulled by letting me input my credentials. She wanted to start the whole process again and she did. I had regular w2 from work and a 1099C from working as an independent contractor (1k earnings). 3 kids as dependent and my husbands w2. From that I got charged $372, just to have my taxes rejected 30 minutes later. She called and said that they were rejected and that I was getting my money back since they couldn’t fix the problem to call her back. When I called her she tells me, she can’t fix it and I had to call IRS but she cannot refund me the money because she can tell found the form to send but I have to research and give her the information. I responded that basically I have to do the work myself so for that just refund me and I will fix it. Never got back or refunded my money. I ended up re-doing my taxes and paying another $59 and they got approved in 4/18. Never again will I go to an H&R Block office.
