About Leroy Collins Leon County Main Public Library
The Leroy Collins Leon County Main Public Library is a fairly modern, three-floor building in the downtown area. It is a small library that feels more spacious inside than photos portray and is disabled accessible with elevators. The library offers a wide variety of books and has an up-to-date check out area. Facilities include two public computer areas, a children’s area, a youth area, and rooms for events. There are activities for different ages and items available for checkout beyond books, such as computers and lawn and gardening tools. The library also hosts events like a seed kickoff twice a year. As a downtown library, it provides a decent public service, though it is not very cozy and parking in the area is limited. The building undergoes renovations, which can affect access. Some challenges noted are the presence of homeless individuals, which impacts restroom maintenance, and occasional public arguing. The internet speed is a maximum of 2.5 MBs. Despite this, many find it a wonderful place with great, helpful staff and a little bookstore with fabulous picks and prices.
Very accommodating. Lots of resources. Friendly staff. Clean.

Our family’s favourite library! While all the LC libraries we’ve visited are wonderful this one is our fave. We like to spend time in the children’s area and then head upstairs to get books for parents. Staff are all great and there’s even a little book store with fabulous picks and prices!
