Great facility, though I wish it were slightly bigger and had more free weights. But it's a great value and the staff is friendly, helpful and they keep the place very clean. I've been very happy since I left another gym for this one. No regrets!

Great equipment, the signs make it a weird atmosphere feels like you have to be self-conscious when you’re lifting, also, their holiday hours are trash they don’t even open up until 6 and that’s on the day after, about to just get an Anytime fitness card, or crunch of which were open today 11/24. I understand, closing the day of the holiday, but opening Late the next day doesn’t really make any sense.

Why is there no Fox News on any of the TV’s? Every time I go, I ask the same question and I was told today that it is a corporate decision. Why is this? You have all the other cable networks but Fox.

After the pandemic I rejoined Planet Fitness at the black club level, which costs more, 25 dollars a month versus a 10 dollar basic membership. My dad lived in South Florida and my upgraded membership meant that I could go to any Planet Fitness. The 10 dollar membership means you can only go to your home gym. After my dad died I didn't really have the same need to go down there as often, and so I downgraded my membership to the basic level and made the nearest gym my home club.In the 6 or 7 months since, the gym that I selected as my home club has fallen into an unacceptable level of neglect. I've learned this week that there is no actual manager at that club and that is has been run by some sort of corporate entity for a while. The one or two employees over that seem to care at least a little are being dragged down byWhen I went in to cancel my membership I gave myself 2 guidelines: Don't be confrontational and don't volunteer any information. Only tell them why I was leaving if they asked. They didn't. A young woman who needed assistance tried to void me out. The "acting manager" berated her in front of other employees and customers, and took an aggressive posture with me. Good riddance. My situation was passed on to Monica, the manager at another Tallahassee Planet Fitness. She was nice enough initially. It was during my first conversation with her when she let it slip that even though my membership had been downgraded months before, and the app on my phone reflected my basic 10 dollar a month membership, they had been drafting my bank account for the upgraded membership the whole time. Now, I should have caught that, but I didn't. Nevertheless I did some math and figured Planet Fitness had overcharged me roughly 100 dollars. Monica showered me with excuses but assured me that they would return the money they had taken from me.I was reassured enough by Monica of Planet Fitness that I agreed to give her some time to get my money back to me. I called her a few days later. Not only did they not return my money, but I discovered, while I was on the phone, that they had drafted my account twice more that day! That I didn't get arrested that day is starting to sound like quite an accomplishment, isn't it.But this is what Planet Fitness does. I'm lucky that as an honorably discharged veteran ( I don't drink, so the opportunity to play the "veteran" card is appreciated), and my bank is exclusive to veterans, and they do a good job protecting us. As I was speaking to a representative from my bank to dispute multiple charges and get a stop payment on Planet Fitness, he recounted his own Planet Fitness frustrations. So I have a good bank. Two weeks later Planet Fitness has not returned my money, even after promising the cop that they would. I'll get my money eventually, and I will share this story as often as I can, wherever I can. And rest assured I only gave you the two most egregious examples of how bad that place is. There are plenty of others.I'm aware of libel laws, and trust me that everything I said here is honest and unembellished, and documented. Hell, the picture of the bank statement isn't even mine. I just found it online and posted it as evidence that Planet Fitness is a dishonest company.I had already joined a new gym by the time I canceled my Planet Fitness membership. I joined YouFit, which I think is a chain. 100 percent a better experience, and they gave me a Veteran's discount. Five dollars a month. Planet Fitness seemingly hates veterans, and everybody else.-this was edited from my FB post. You can see a more detailed description of my experiences there.

I have not been to this gym in over 480 days I have asked multiple times for my membership to be cancelled but they won’t cancel it how can you force someone to keep paying for something they don’t use. I’m getting a lawyer tired of these multimillion dollar companies forcing people to make them richer I will never step foot in there doors again ??

Serious bummer here. I had a great workout on the 30 minute circuit which was not at all busy this morning. And then I tried to get a shower. Nothing but cold water. Unpleasant. I rinsed off the sweat and that was about the most I could stand. There were two guys in the shower area replacing shower curtains. I mentioned the hot water situation and they said that they thought it had been fixed. Nope.Next time here, I'll check the water situation first before starting the workout.

I signed up online for the "judgment free zone" and showed up later that day. They said I didn't need ID to enter just provide my name and number which I did. I even purchased a towel and worked out for an hour. Then I returned the second day. Instead of letting me in to exercise, I was stopped and asked to download the app and make an account proving my identity. The password field was picky but I memorized a new one just for them. Then the manager reminded me of the details about my auto pay agreement (which had a lot of small print I learned, including an annual fee that was not obvious, but was willing to pay). By this time, I am already regretting the choice to "stop by on the way home". Then as I finally entered the floor, she calls me back to complain about footwear I had been using, which i had purchased at a sporting goods store for the purpose of doing athletics in place, but which revealed my toes. I started to leave politely, but changed my mind when I heard her say:"you need close-toed shoes to WORKOUT" (emphasis hers) Now, in her mind, I realize she meant that I was welcome to use the tanning bed or the bathroom while I was there, but with her already arrogant attitude, I felt disrespected. Moreover, others standing there could easily assume that she was telling me how working out was to be done. So I turned around and asked her to cancel my membership. I also said, "just to be clear, you need close-toed shoes to work out HERE". She defended the policy with her full breath while waiting for me to provide the necessary signature, as though I thought she had made the policy up herself. I threw away the pink towel I bought the day before, in the provided trash can outside.I give them two stars, because I did get one good day of working out in a "judgment free zone", though I would have picked one and a half.

A good 24/7 gym. It's more for anyone just wanting to tone up, lose some weight, or just feel better, than for a real intense bodybuilder. I enjoy the older crowd in the mornings

WAYCH OUT! The billing system sucks! When we signed up were told the wrong thing TWICE! Giving advice to watch your account.Yes they have good equipment . But the staff must not know the billing system.
