always a waiting line for pharmacy. pharmacy tech doesn’t know about privacy, speak loudly that everyone around can hear the other person private information. always a line for the front cashier. smells badly, carpet stains, shelves with dust. employee always chatting on the phone, no curtesy as to assist finding anything.

Very bad service, the people who run the pharmacy are hateful and rude.

Very unprofessional . Just some kind of kindergarten. After the conversation I was left with a bad aftertaste. I'll try not to go back there.

Until recently this was a decent CVS to pick up get medication. The last two times I have gone, the counter clerk has been sloppy, unhelpful, and ignorant of what he can or cannot do in the system. The first visit the indiviual chaqrged me for medicaiton at the non-insurance rate and claimed that was what the insurance company would pay. I asked him to check and see what I paid last time and he said that he couldn't see that. I had a feeling that he was wrong but I needed to get home, so I left the store. I called the insurance company and they said he had not submitted themedicaiton for a claim. (Guess it's easier to lie than to do your job). Went back to the store(20 minute trip in traffic). WHen it was my turn I told him that he hadn't filed a claim and that I wanted a refund and correct processing. He wordlessly took the medicaiton , explained to one of the pharmacists on duty and then sent me to another window. There, the tech had to repackage and reprocess my med (another 10 minute wait). Finally I got my medication. At no point did anyone apologize for thier error or my inconvenience. Yesterday I had to pic up some medicaiton that my physician prescribed. I have picked it up before and it is not usually covered by insurance. The same clerk was working. He commented when he finally found the medication, that the insurance must be "running out". The med in question was over $200. I looked at him and said, I have a Good Rx card on file and that if he checked, he would see that it was applied the last time I picked it up. He checked and said, its $112 (my best recollection). I told him never mind. I drove to another CVS, had all my meds transferred to that store as my new store. Showed them my Good Rx price ($61). The tech applied it and I pick the med up today. In the midst of undoubtedly working at a high pace, extremely lucrative pharmacy, the company should not forget about customer service. Prior to the arrival of this particular clerk, I had not had any issues with them. I have written perhaps 4 reviews in my lifetime. This exceptionally poor service, and general unwillingness to try and help a patient, deserved to be called out.

I have a similar story to the other person below me “Karen McGee” I went to this CVS about 2 weeks ago to pick up my daughters Medication for seizures. Mind you this is a schedule 4 controlled substance “benzodiazepine” I drive home and open the meds and realize that there are only 30 out of the 60 films that is supposed to come in her prescription. I went back to the pharmacy and spoke to the tech. The tech and the pharmacist both look puzzled, asked me a bunch of questions and tech says “this is not possible the package says 60 but she is saying she only got 30.” At this point I realize that this pharmacy does not count the meds before giving it to you. They said they get it from the manufacturer and hand it to us the same way it came. I am a nurse/paramedic and I am appalled that the pharmacist/tech does not count a schedule 4 controlled substance before handing it to the patient. I have never heard this from any pharmacy I have ever been to that they do not open the box to make sure the right amount is in there. Terrible! The whole pharmacy and staff needs training on protocol and customer service.

I very rarely ever take the time to write a review. But I feel people need to be aware, especially if they're reliant on a particular medication. My mother almost ended up in the hospital because of their negligence ( which is in the third paragraph).I take a perception that can only go to the pharmacy that is going to fill it. Because of that, when I travel I always ask the pharmacy if they have that prescription in stock. Most pharmacy's understand this, so I've never had a problem with a pharmacy check to see if it's in stock. In fact this pharmacy has also checked for me when I travel to see my mother in Tamarac FL. Today I had a extremally rude lady tell me she can't tell me if it's in stock. That I have to take my chances or go to another drug store. They also ran out of a critical prescription/inhaler my mother takes so she can breath. She's on auto refill to make sure that she always has this medication. Long story short, she thought she was going to die because she could breath. I flew down to Florida and found out that it was because her inhaler ran out of medication for 45 days. Because of that it wasn't dispensing the medication to help her breath. I ask the Tamarac CVS why they didn't let us know that she needed a refill. They told me that it's because they ran out of stock. So instead of letting us know thy ran out, so she can get it somewhere else or have her doctor substitute it for something they carry, they said nothing. I'm wondering how many of their elderly customers have ended up in the hospital or worse because of their practices at the Tamarac CVS.

Long, but important:I went to CVS to pick up a script. When I got home, I opened the box and there were 4 white pills together with an aluminum backing to push them through. I read the label and it said, ‘take as directed,’ but no instructions as to how to take. Furthermore, the label said the quantity was 6 (remember I only had 4 pills). I read the label further and it described the medication as a pink, oblong pill. I then called the pharmacy and the rude tech said, ‘Well, you have to call your doctor.’ I said to her, ‘Call my doctor? That doesn’t make sense. My doctor calls in a prescription with instructions to the pharmacist as to how it should be filled. Furthermore, I received 4 pills, and the label says it should be 6.’ She then told me the package comes from the manufacturer like that. She was one of the rudest people I’ve ever spoken to and wouldn’t even try to understand or investigate. Pharmacists/techs are dealing with people’s lives potentially if medication isn’t taken correctly. Anyway, I called my doctor’s office and they explained that 1) there should be 6 pills and 2) how it should be taken: 2 today and 1 each day for the next 4 days. How the hell was I supposed to know that since it wasn’t on the label. I then called the pharmacy back and asked to speak to the pharmacist directly, which they did not want to do, but I insisted. I explained all of this again to the pharmacist and she explained that there should be 6 pills in the little box and that it comes from the manufacturer like that. She asked me to come back and bring the medication. I went back to the pharmacy, spoke to the pharmacist directly. Come to find out the wrong medication was put into the box by the manufacturer (so CVS claimed). The pharmacist even said, ‘I’m so glad you didn’t take this medication.’ I have no idea what it was. The reason the label said, ‘take as directed’ was because the correct medication gives you specific directions on the package as to how you are to take it. As sick as I was, another person just as sick may have taken that medication without reading, assuming they were to take one pill per day. Even if it comes from the manufacturer and the pharmacist does not count the pills, they should at least be looking in the boxes to be sure the correct medication is in the box! Terrible job by CVS.

I was very happy with my experience at this CVS located a couple of miles away from my original one. I am transferring my prescriptions to your branch. Very speedy process and most of all they are caring.

Armed with my 40% off coupon, I decided to check out some of their mouthwash options at CVS. They have many national brands as well as their CVS generic brand. With 40% many of these items fare very well with the prices you would find at Walmart or other discount stores. The store is a typical CVS with a nice parking lot and bright aisles.
