I bought my first pair of glasses and same night I got them I got extremely frustrated do to how they feel, went back the next day having in mind that I was going to have a battle to get my money back but there was Paul the guy that evry eyeglass store needs, he was sent by God to help me get the right frame and explain evrything that I needed to know being a first timer. Then Samar did an excelent job showing me everything that can be added, measurement and prices. They both save a customer. I end up more than happy having to go through this experience. When you go to America's best in Tampa look for Paul and Samar you will be amazed on the customer service level.

Maisa was very friendly, approachable throughout the entire process. Also got my glasses quicker than I anticipated. Will definitely use this location again in the future.

Not happy with this place. I went in to get an eye exam for contacts and glasses and to see if anything was wrong with my eyes as I’ve been having some serious issues, my light sensitivity got way worse, blurry vision and my eyes have been feeling very heavy but not tired. The main issue is the light sensitivity getting worse and making it very hard to drive during the day because of it. First off, I’ve never had an optometrist not push to have my eyes dilated after telling me I haven’t had it done over 3 years. He said, it wasn’t necessary. I told him about having a traumatic car accident 3 months prior then he’s wanted to dilate and finally did it. He then claimed both my eyes changed prescription and wrote it up in my chart to give to the person who writes it out at the front. Well only one of my prescriptions changed for contests, no idea what my glasses prescription was as I had the same pair for 3+ years. I called them a few days after my appointment and ask why my prescription was only different for one eye but the other was the same as before even after telling me both changed, they said they could reschedule me for another appointment but it would possibly charge again. I told them I would only schedule another appointment if they didn’t charge me or they could just go ask the optometrist to see if he put something down incorrectly. They refused to asked the doctor and told me someone would call me back. I never heard back and still haven’t heard back and it’s been almost 2 weeks since I called about it. I will never go back here nor do I recommend them to anyone. Yes the exam is cheap if you don’t have insurance but don’t expect a lot from them as they don’t seem to care about their patients.

Heed my warning to not go to this location, but do not let this rating keep you from going to another America’s Best location. The first location that I went to was on Dale Mabry and I had no issues.I ordered contacts from this location and was told that it would take approximately 2-3 weeks. 1 month and 1 week later, I called this location to ask about the status of my contacts and was told that my contacts were ready to be picked up. I never received a voicemail, any calls, text messages, or emails about my contacts being ready to be picked up prior to this call.1 day after I called about my contacts, I get a voicemail and a text message letting me know that my contacts were ready to be picked up. Almost as if they did not put notes into the system that I was already informed. I do not know how long my contacts have been ready for pickup. There is a small chance that they just got them delivered, but if that’s the circumstance then the contacts were delivered much later than what was expected. I could have ordered contacts cheaper online and received them much earlier.The staff is nice and respectful, but I will never go to this location again.

Got my replacement glasses and Dash did a great job making sure they were correct. I lost my glasses and called the same location and they were able to find my info and prompt to help me get new ones and even a better pair. And estimated 2 weeks and got them in sooner and communicated with me all the whole way. Highly recommend that location !

Very helpful and professional. Serenah helped me choose the perfect frame and Samar helped make a measurement adjustment. The receptionist was so courteous and helpful. I will all places had a staff like this place.

Today, August 12, I went with my husband to the University Plaza store and I got a discriminatory and racist attitude when trying to request an appointment or attention in Spanish. The employee was negative and with no desire to serve us, she said that we would not get help in any of their locations and that all clients should bring a translator since they did not provide help in Spanish, I fully understand and agree that we are in an English-speaking country, but I think there are ways to explain things and not Being rude and with so little desire to work and also looking so rude to clients who are going to spend their money who do not want anything for free and who do not need the embittered woman on duty to treat them badly.

The manager was out, but they got the answers and things I needed. It took a little longer than normal, but I got the best possible price. They were friendly and helpful.

I’ve purchased this pair of glasses 13 months ago and upgraded to one of the special lens packages for around $150. Recently, the glasses broke just from daily wear. I’m an academic and do not really to anything extreme with my glasses since I use my sunglasses outdoors and for activities. I was surprised the frames only lasted 13 months. Since they broke a little after the 1-year product protection plan America’s Best was not able to repair my glasses in the store and suggested to purchase a new pair. Initially, $150 dollars seemed to be a good deal for scratch resistant, anti-reflection coated lenses but considering the short lifespan of the frames, I do not recommend purchasing frames from America’s best. For reference, my previous glasses from a different place lasted me 5 years. They were only marginally more expensive but more value than frames that only last 13 months. The optometrists are great and knowledgeable- their frames are just flimsy and not worth the money.
