Not here to comment on the staff or gym itself but I drove by today 01/07/2024 and there was a sign on the door stating the gym was permanently closed.

Been a member of anytime fitness for over 7 years. I travel the country and have been to over 100 locations. This gym, by FAR, is the most disgusting gym I have ever been to. The bathrooms are a health hazard. Black mold, broken ventilation fans hanging from the ceiling, toilet is not properly fastened to the floor, shower pressure goes in and out from cold to hot every 15 seconds. Doesn’t look like it’s been properly cleaned in over a year. This place needs to be inspected by the health department. It’s atrocious. Pure neglect and laziness.

This place is insanely expensive for what you get. They haven't made any updates to the facility or equipment in the years I have had a membership - broken machines every other day for weeks on end, dumbbells with pieces of metal hacked off and jagged, moldy bathrooms, chunks of the interior walls missing, there was a toilet seat just sitting on the bathroom floor for weeks before they repaired it. Frequently see roaches climbing the walls next to machines. It also takes days to have trash taken out or toilet paper/paper towels to be replaced. On top of that, the staff is impossible to reach by phone, email, I even left them a hand written note and they still didn't call me back.

I am giving them 1 star off of customer service alone. The staff at this place didn’t answer the phone or return call from my voice mail to ask them 1 simple question about equipment in the gym for about 2-3 days. Then finally I decided okay let me call one last time maybe they were too busy SO I was able to reach them by phone that last try. Next, I told the man who answered that I was interested in the gym, got a free pass online and went physically to the gym just 1hour later!! Only for no one to answer the phone for me to let me inside the gym after calling multiple times while standing outside the gym door. For this reason alone I decided to pass on this place and go to another gym even though this location is convenient. That customer service is terrible and embarrassing for customers or potential customers such as myself. I can just imagine a day where my key fog doesn’t work. What would happen??? I’d be out of luck!!! Upon me arriving to the gym there was only 1 car outside but still no one could help me. Wow. No thanks ????

Its hard to find one of these anytime gyms closed but this one in the heart of Tampa. Blows my mind to see it closed up especially when they never have any staff on the daily. Forge and optimum both 24 hours and local are both open. Not available ANYTIME!!!

I've been working out at this gym for just about 10 years now and I think it's just about time to replace all the exhaust fans in the shower areas. This would cut down on wait times and also save you a good amount in paper towels. Also it would address the black mold in the roof of the showers and paint costs every 6 months. The gym is in a great location and definitely one of the best around in size but the team needs to address the janitorial. The trash should also go out when it is removed from the gym floor and not sit in the can in the back with food as it starts to stink up the facility.

Key fob constantly does not work. Very shady people working out there, making women feel uncomfortable. Very small parking lot that is often full with no spots available. (And bums behind the building and cars)… The owners do nothing to help their paying members. We have had issues with automatic billing every single month, resulting in no access to gym.Every time this happens, We have to call corporate and they verify there is no issue with our account, everything is up to date, and we should have access. They billed us two additional months after we told the owner to cancel one of our 2 memberships and now, to cancel our second membership, they say we need to send a “certified letter in the mail”. This has been a huge inconvenience and headache, all to go to a small, run down, crowded little gym. I highly recommend you look elsewhere when choosing your fitness facility in Tampa.

Just switched over 2 weeks ago.. isn’t bad. Not crowded at hours I go so I’m free to use the equipment I want when I want. Staff is friendly.. only downside is a lot of people don’t return or retail their weights

This place is trash. They scammed me into a 2 year contract and have been hitting my account for all kind of hidden fees . Even during covid when you couldn't go they still charged me. Called Corp they said they check into it for me and never contacted me back . This happen 3 times. Now I'm in collections for a $100 even after paying for 2 years Plus all there hidden fees. The owner Joe is a conman

I signed up last April. One year contract.I finished this April. Cancelled in May. They keep trying to bill me. The location I signed up at, this one, refuses to call me back.I called ABC Fitness, the billing company. All you get is a script robot. They don't care. Well, guess what? Neither do I. Attempt to charge me all you want. Mark my words: I served my year of gym membership jail time. Never again. I'm not paying you guys another dime. You will cancel my account and I will never pay you anything more. Send it to collections. Do whatever you have to do. I will fight this tooth and nail.This isn't how you do business.

So far so good. Great Location. There are individual showers and the place appeared clean. The brutha that helped me out... worked up a quick contract using the iPad. Got my Fob. Hassle Free.

I had bad experience called the owner and no call back or resolution to issues . I was told that military discount was not honor and found out it is not the manager was too dam lazy to do the paperwork costing me an extra 100.00, and member fees. if you want to be consider an important customer, DO. NOT SIGN with these rude morons

Ok… this is the closest gym to me since I moved down here and I’ve been coming here a few times a week for the last 6 months - your mirror has been broken forever - fix it! It looks very bad. The gym could also use a deep cleaning. Management needs to get on this.

I didn't listen to them when they said two hours and no more, that's on me. They do a fine job, though the customer service isn't where it should be. If we're going to pay fifty a month, instead of any of the other affordable gyms, a bit of compassion or heart won't hurt.
