Babe Zaharias Golf Course is a fun and historic public course located in a neighborhood, known for its challenging holes and character. The course has a rich history, with connections to Babe Ruth, who used to play here. Recently, the greens are undergoing renovations, which has affected the hole locations and grass conditions, but they are improving and becoming faster and smoother. Fairways and most tee boxes are in great shape, although some areas could use better maintenance. The course features some tricky water hazards and offers a variety of ways to score, making it enjoyable for both beginners and experienced players. The layout includes cool holes with a lot of character, and the pace of play is generally excellent, especially on weekdays, with many players opting for a quick 36-hole round. Prices are affordable, especially considering renovations, with green fees around $28, offering great value in Tampa. The staff and management are friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming, community-like atmosphere. Whether playing for fun, testing skills on tour-speed greens, or enjoying a relaxing afternoon, Babe Zaharias provides an enjoyable golf experience with a hometown feel.

Ant hills all over the place, some of the slowest, unreadable greens I’ve played in the area. Course maintenance was okay but definitely needs improvement. The course design is pretty good, as I had fun although left with 3 ant bites. Would play again but not really worth 50 bucks, this is probably a $30-40 course

Don't hate the course and I feel like it has some good aspects but at the same time the maintenance and up keep just doesn't seem to be there for the price anymore. Rather go play at one of the other public courses not even 25 minutes away if it means a driving range and some better rolling greens.
