Sadly to say after being a customer for more than twenty years, the customer service of this bank have taken a turn for the worse. The Tampa Handley and Waters Ave branch customer service is horrendous. They don’t value the customer at all.

It took me a lot to finally write this review. The fact that there’s only been one teller at this location for a long time after 2 locations on Hillsborough have been closed for a couple of years is ridiculous. This leaves Hanley the only option unless we drive to Carrollwood. My complaint is about the ONLY lady working behind the counter. One of my employees left crying a couple of months ago because she said the signature on the check didn’t match. This is our business checks issued by BOA and it’s a stamp signature issued by BOA. Not a hand signed... STAMPED like every other check written to our employees.Next we have a check made out to us from insurance company that she again would not let us deposit 3 different times due to signatures as well comically that need to be stamped. Finally got a new check weeks later because she would not accept prior and now my husband couldn’t deposit because I wasn’t there even though I signed. It feels like she enjoys being difficult. We have multi million dollar businesses plus 3 personal accounts here. I do not feel like a valued customer and she treats people like they are criminal and a nuisance to her. We will be moving our business accounts elsewhere so we don’t have to deal with her specifically.Oh and I even took a video of us "signing" the check with the stamp after she ripped up the first to prove to her that it was real. DISGUSTING the way she treats people

,Sidney Cobos has been the most delightful contact for my wife and I when we come to Tampa Florida. He understands our needs as residents of another country and has helped us for over five years since moving to Florida. Please consider him your most important employee, since we consider him our best connection to B of A.

I went in the Bank of America on Hanley looking for assistance after selling my Deceased husband's vehicle to a BOA customer for several thousand dollars, (11:am) on Tuesday and the money was to be wired into my account within 1-2 hours. Not only did I have a verbal conformation from the BOA Employee, the Buyer also paid $30 extra to have the wire transfer done...This at least made me feel comfortable the Buyer did have the funds.Hours went by still nothing!!! fearing there was a problem. I stopped in the Waters Ave branch, it's now approx 4:30pm after 4 hours, it still was not in my account. and was approached by Sidney Cobos, VP Financial Center Manager who was standing in the lobby when I opened the door and asked what I needed...I asked he he could please call the Carrollwood Branch and speak to the representative we dealt with to check on the transaction as the only documentation I had was my bill of sale and the BOA wire transfer with thier customers name on it as well as my name showing it was supposed to go in my account...(the Buyer had already drove off with my husband's 2021 Dodge Ram truck, signed over Title, two keys, with a Bill of sale) not only was Cobos adamantly rude, smirked in my face, very disrespectful he had no regard for my situation and told me he didn't want to hear of my situation... I WAS NOT A CUSTOMER and to get out of HIS Bank!! He literally led me to the door and threw me out. I have never been so disgusted, humiliated and dishearten. Treated so horribly in such a way by someone supposedly in a professional position especially a VP of a Financial institution. He acted as if he was standing in the lobby, where he was some sort of Dictator. He should never be in a position where he has people that he is suppose to set an example for. Especially in a customer service position. Historically his customer service skills are not at all what any company expects of their employees. I would never ever do business with this type of establishment who puts this type of person in a vice president position or ever comfortable having my money invested here!! I will be writing a letter to his superior and expect something to be done for his despicable unacceptable behavior!
