The store manager Marcus is horrible he treats his customers horrible and his employees like a tyrant and bully ,I will never return to this store as long as he is there.

I visited this store to buy soap, bleach, and some tools for my window cleaning business. Overall, it was a positive experience — the store offers a wide variety of cleaning products, and I was able to find everything I needed quickly and without any issues.
I also noticed a welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere, with several people —including Latino families— shopping comfortably.
One area that could be improved is the main entrance, which showed some dirt on the paint and glass, both inside and outside. Under the sunlight, the windows appear quite dusty, which slightly affects the store’s presentation. I’d recommend giving it a quick refresh since first impressions are very important.
Other than that, it was a pleasant visit, and I left satisfied with the service and organization of the store.

I was in your store in Riverview located at 4860 S 78th St, 33619. I rode my bicycle because it was right up the street, however I forgot the key to my bike lock at home, and not only that it was getting ready to rain. Being a high crime area, and seeing as how the one lone camera is askew and only has a view of the far parking lot, I pulled my bike in the little vestibule at the entrance to the store and set it next to the shopping carts. I was literally there for sliced cheese and I thought I might get a soda. I walked in and the CSR stopped helping the customer he was in mid transaction with to (very rudely) tell me that I had to take my bike outside. Seeing as how it was me and maybe 2 other customers in the store I didn’t see how it was in the way, however I informed him that it was alright I’d be in and out. He then proceeded to follow me deeper into the store and tell me I had to move it right then. I had already grabbed my items and was heading back to the register. While I tried to punch in my account number he hit the button that moves the screen forward so that I had to ask him to return it back. He continued being very rude and offered some unsolicited advice, (“if you get a bike lock you can tie it up to that pole outside.”) I said nothing grabbed my two items and left feeling very angry and embarrassed. While I do realize that it’s a dollar store, good customer service is supposed to be the goal is it not? The cashiers name was “Traemel” and it was the first time I had ever seen him in there. Like I said I live right up the road so I’m in there almost every other day. After this encounter, I do believe I can make it to the actual grocery store from now on. At least their cameras work properly, they have a bike rack out front, and their employees aren’t intentionally rude.

This is like the 4 time this month where I come & they are closed when the hours says open but nobody at the store they do what they want at this location

I only come to this dollar general cause it’s literally 2 seconds from my house , but hate coming too it. Staff is extremely rude. They don’t speak . They don’t smile. Nothing trying to figure out where they find their staff. There is 2 girls there that are very nice and pleasant. But the rest of them id say find a whole different staff

It's DG so I expect quick & cheap so here it is....the parking lot is always messy, the store is always busy, there are always boxes in the aisles, and the associates appear overworked and underpaid. However, it's convenient, the shelves are always stocked, and the associates are doing their best, so be kind & polite to them, and they are typically nice in return! Oh, and the carts don't leave the store, so limit what you buy & have to carry out in a DG 'maybe 1 use' shopping bag. 😉

Now this is really ridiculous. I actually had to conduct a cash back transaction unnecessarily just to purchase a gift card because they have some weird policy at this store that you have to use cash to buy gift cards. So because they don't have processes in place to keep scammers at bay the customer who does the right thing every time is now impacted. This was completely inconvenient and totally unnecessary all she did was take the cash back and put it right back in the register. For what??!! Stupid stuff like this keeps people from patronizing your store! Cut it out!!

I worked with this company and it has gone to the dumps. The people working in some of these stores don't know what they doing and can't help you then want to get mad like it's there store and products and I feel if you can't understand your customers how can you help them the stores here in Tampa FL are the worse I will not be shopping in store I rather order online so I can stay out of trouble they don't even deserve a star but since I can't write a review without giving you a star I guess I'll lie and say one

The cashier yesterday at around 2:30pm was very unpleasant. She wouldn't answer any questions and looked at us like deer in the headlights while talking to her! Very rude and inconsiderate. I chuckled a bit when my cleaning spray bust open spraying all over her! Do better Dollar general, you could hire me and I would make your customers happy. :)
