Thought my wifes car was a goner. Started looking for places to trade it in. Earl did a few diagnostics and determined my transmission and the converter was bad. He gave me a gew options and while it would be cheaper to buy used and install , it was smarter to rebuild and i know what is in my wifes car. Now its running like new again. Glad i went to Earls

I checked around for a transmission repair shop that I had a specific need for, yes relative to a transmission. After going to several shops, found via Google search, none were able to help. I called Earl's 1st, as I did other shops, and I was told to come on in and he would try to help me, and he did. I left there a satisfied customer!

Earl replaced my transmission successfully so far. He replaced it about 2 months ago now. I recently had someone look at my vehicle for oil leaks. One thing that should've been done that wasn't according to another mechanic that also knows Earl was the Rear Main Seal. The mechanic told me to call Earl and tell him that he didn't do what he should've done when he replaced my transmission. Earl aggressively told me that that is not something he does unless he is asked to. I am a female and pregnant at that. I have no clue what is supposed to be included or not. Two different mechanics told me the same exact thing as far as what was supposed to be part of the changing process of transmissions. He attends my family church, so I definitely was not expecting the response he gave me. Instead of doing the job right the first time he chose to blame it on me. So to any females expecting to go see Earl to get your transmission done, KNOW THAT HE WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU TO GET YOU TO COME BACK AND SPEND MORE MONEY ON A JOB HE SHOULD'VE DONE IN THE FIRST PLACE!

Was looking for a place in Tampa to do a transmission work. After shopping around, I find Earl Transmission, my van wasn’t going in reverse. He explained all the options (new, rebuild, or bring my own). I was able to bring my own in a couple days later . For about $470 everything was replaced & put back on with fluids in 5 hours. Price was very cheap especially comparing to other places plus he even gave me a little military discount on top so I’m very satisfied. GO SEE EARL, don’t even think twice.

I took my car to this place because he had done work for me in the past. I thought that he was a good honest individual. Well he's not! My transmission had went out and I had it towed to his shop. He told me that it needed to be rebuilt and that the differential had went out in it. He charged me $1,900.00 dollars to do the job. He did not rebuild my transmission he put a used transmission in it from a salvage yard or just used the same one from my car and added a part to it. It was also leaking oil from the back of the engine. I ask him if he had changed the rear main seal in it because he had to have seen the oil leak when he took out the transmission. He said that he had not. He did retake out the transmission again and said that he had changed the seal. And he said that he saw something else and plugged it. He said that it was still leaking oil though. The area that he plugged looked a mess and you could see exactly where the leak was coming from. He didn't fix the leak and he put it back together for a second time and gave it back to me. I took my car to my other mechanic and found all of this mess! Yeah, the car is running but he did not fix it or rebuilt the transmission as he charged me! I also asked to see the receipts for the so called parts he bought and he refused!!! That right there said it ALL! This was a half a** job that he did to me. I am warning all future customers to NOT bring your car here because you will get screwed over. Definitely do your research and find a trust worthy transmission mechanic. I will never go to this place again and I will be filing a lawsuit against him! Because this is unacceptable!
