We've stayed here many times. This time was by far the worst. The pool was closed. Only one elevator worked most of the time, and they are slow!!!! The valet is the absolute worse set up ever. First of all, it's expensive. Second, we had to wait on the actual street in a line of cars for 40 minutes to get back in after lunch. People checking in take up both lanes in front of the hotel and get out of their cars to check in (this is the issue). This is a very poor setup for people who are already staying at the hotel and need to get to their room. One lane should stay open for returning guests to drive around and return their car. Hilton needs to fix this issue or find a new valet service.

The best part of my experience was this receptionist named Joshua. Very helpful and patient with every question I asked him. Hotel rooms and room service is amazing as well.

Dropped in for a Lightning game. Great time with a quick stroll to the game.

The elevators are so loud you can literally hear them rumbling through the walls as you try to sleep at night. I had an important work meeting and had to show up sleep deprived because of this terrible hotel.

Great place to stay for a Lightning game. Just walk down thunder alley, straight to Amalie Arena. Clean, comfortable rooms.

I am not a harsh reviewer if you look at my other reviews but this is the worst hotel I've ever been to for the money. there are too many issues to list, I'll condense best as possible.....took 50 minutes to valet the car, line was ridiculousroom wasn't ready even though I got there an hour after check in (see above)gave bag to bellhop to hold while we waited for our room and went to walk around out. came back when the room was ready and had to stand in the lobby for 30 minutes waiting for the bellhop guy to show up to give us our bag backhappy hour and breakfast were absolutely mobbed, you couldn't get a thing without waiting on line for 20 minutes or more.the elevators are the slowest elevators I've ever been in and I've been in many. you can wait up to 10 to 15 minutes just to get an elevator to come to your Floor to pick you upthe only good things about this hotel are the location for the arena, the room was nice, and I did the text to valet to get my car the next morning and when I got downstairs after a 10-minute wait at the elevator the car was waiting for me.I'll definitely never go back especially at 330 a night.

I stay in Hilton properties every week all year long. The elevators didn’t work at all and I was charged for parking two cars when I only had one. They refused to reimburse me. Crazy.

I had booked a reservation through Capital One Travel for a 1 night stay 12/30 and they told me when I arrived that the hotel cancelled my reservation because Capital One didn't pay them. I had a receipt and confirmation number that they did, and Capital One said the hotel should honor it and gave me another number to tell them. Even after going back the second time (same night), Kevin VanDuyn who was working that night, refused to give me a room even after offering to pay for one outright since I had an event that night. On top of that, when calling Capital One for my refund, since I ended up not staying, they told me the hotel manager said I cancelled, not them. They are terrible with customer service and caused a major inconvenience for me and a friend. Highly recommend another hotel in the area. Update: the reservation was in my name legal name Diane Rhodes

Other things I forgot about how this hotel is ridiculous:The elevators kept breaking. I see from other reviews that this issue goes back many months. You should expect some to be broken while you're there. Also, a lightbulb was broken in our room. The first time they ignored my request for service, but the second time they did fix it.Finally, the night before checkout I got a text from the hotel asking them to text me my e-mail to avoid checkout lines (obviously they know my e-mail as a Hilton Honors member and from sending me multiple confirmation e-mails.) I got this text the moment I happened to be walking towards the lobby, so I went up to the desk and asked to just give them my e-mail. The clerk stared at me like he was miserable to have to encounter another human, and wouldn't take my e-mail. So I had to wait in line to check out. I'm sure I'm forgetting other negative things. This room is NOT worth almost $500 a night!

The embassy suites not only at a room for me, but made sure it was a large comfortable room. On top of that, they greeted me Warmly, and made me feel appreciated. The room was beautiful, comfortable, clean. The complementary breakfast in the morning was substantial and very much appreciated. I only wish they had a place for self parking that did not cost $50 for the evening. But that is a minor inconvenience for all of the other positives. This hotel had. I have now stayed in four hotels in downtown Tampa And this has jumped to the top of the list for me.

We booked a room here for the proximity to Amalie Arena and the Tampa Riverwalk. The room was well appointed and comfortable. The location was perfect and within walking distance to the aquarium and restaurants. The trolley line has a station mere yards from the valet parking. Now the bad news, the mattress was old and lumpy, neither my husband nor I had a hot shower and I found a press on fingernail in my bed sheets. Kudos to the customer care attendant who worked to correct these issues. If such things make you squeamish then I would look elsewhere for your accommodations.
