They're the best transmission repair place that I've ever dealt with in west central Florida¡! Fixed the clutch on my Honda in a timely & concise manner. The technician, Mark did a bang up job & was the utmost professional thanx again for his (their) fine work.

The short; 6+MONTH UPDATE, Plenty of miles on the trans, PROBLEM FREE.
My experience with the manager Joe and Eloy was nothing but perfect. Their knowledge is staggering. They do all makes and models, and they were cheaper than every place I called (by 800.00) to overhaul a large truck transmission. And they put their money with their mouth is with the warranty. They've got a large clean shop, assembly room, a nice waiting area. Ask for a tour. If you're lucky you might meet black magic! 😎
As Someone who has worked on cars part time for 18 years they have my implicit recommendation at wholehearted endorsement. They were honest, fair price, knowledgeable, have modern diagnostic equipment, and stand behind their word.
A little more:
They rebuilt my 4L80 for my Silverado 2500 HD.
They're very knowledgeable not only about that family of transmissions but that specific model. And it's obvious there's not a lot they can't do.
They did a full rebuild that they stand behind, including the labor
That included but definitely wasn't limited to,
the master kit, bands, torque converter, wiring harness, solenoids, all the little updates and fixes applied over the years, checking hard parts for where or being out of tolerance etcetera etcetera. Then they fill it with synthetic fluid only after hot flushing the entire cooling/fluid system. They even have you come back after a certain amount of time or mileage to make sure everything's still working right. I've seen a lot of shops from one man operations to warehouses that overhaul semi engines, and that was one of the best experiences I've had and the surest I've been that I got a good deal, and I wasn't taking advantage of

This is a follow-up review to my first review but I wanted everyone out there who is considering your next shop for transmission work to know what a GREAT driving experience it has been now that Joe and the team upgraded the stock tune on my GM 6L80. Getting rid of 1-2 lock up and retuning the shift points is honestly like driving a different SUV completely! I actually feel like I am driving a BIG RACE CAR and it's SO fun to drive around town!! No noticeable drop in gas mileage. VERY happy!!

I can not say enough positive things about Jeff's Transmissions! Came to the shop two times for my check engine light, and both times, Joe helped me out and ended up informing me that my issue was not a transmission issue despite the code being a transmission code. Joe pointed me in the right direction and didn't rush me out of the shop. I will definitely only go to Jeff's in the future for all my transmission needs.

As a former transmission tech and industry veteran, I would only trust my vehicle(s) to a very reputable shop when it comes to quality transmission rebuilds and repair. After speaking with Joe the service manager, it was readily apparent they know transmissions better than anyone else I spoke with in the area. So, I decided on Jeff's to handle my rebuild. Their shop is clean (something one should look for especially in a transmission facility) and modern, and their entire team is first class, which is hard to find these days. You absolutely won't go wrong with Jeff's and I would recommend them to anyone needing a quality rebuild or service for their vehicle at a fair price.

Drove down 1100+ miles, car broke down 30 miles outside of Tampa, had no way of getting home on Saturday. Jeff’s transmission got us right in on a Thursday and they were finished up on Friday. Had to have about more than half of my transmission rebuilt. They did a great job, i was scared to drive but my husband said that the car was driving better than it ever has.

OK, grab a cup of coffee, this is kinda long...
If you're anything like me, you know the basics behind how an engine works. Carburetor/Fuel injectors mix air with gas, pistons compress said mixture, spark plugs ignite it, boom makes power, radiator/water pump keeps it all cool, etc..
So, if something is wrong with an ENGINE, it can be pretty straight forward.
When the engine works, power goes to wheels, car go.
If your engine works and your car no go...uh-oh.
It's probably your Transmission.
TRANSMISSIONS, on the other hand, when THOSE stop working, what's in there? A Hamster in a wheel? Quantum physics? Who knows?
You'll probably gird your loins, call AAnother TrAAnsmission shop, And brAAce yourself to hear the words, "You need a New Transmission.", (Because you don't know any better and that's what they do) then start making arrangements to take out a second mortgage on the house.
So...
My 2017 Ford F150 stopped moving in a drive through. Bad place.
The Shift indicator light stopped indicating and the check Engine AND the dreaded "Ford Wrench" light came on.
I managed to get it home very slowly, apparantly in "limp mode", (only about Two miles fortunately), and called Jeff's Transmissions.
I take my cars and that truck to a couple other mechanics in the area, and have passed Jeff's several times, so I knew about them.
I described the problem and they asked me Year, make & model, and said, "Yeah, It's probably the Main Control Valve Body, Send me your VIN so I can order the right one and get it here."
I had the truck towed in (Thank you AAA) and they had it done THE NEXT DAY.
Now, apparantly the Main Control Valve Body, is a pretty major part, and it still cost me around $1,900. (Parts & Labor) but a quick Google search says a new transmission for my truck (Parts alone) is around $3,500. so, since AAnother AAuto Transmission place would have probably bent me over for that amount + labor, and the fact that the guys at Jeff's Transmissions pretty much diagnosed the problem OVER THE PHONE and had it done in a day, I trust I came out ahead.
Now, I can't promise that YOU won't need a new transmission, (OR they'll have it done in a day,) but if you DO, at least you can trust the fact that you probably actually DO need a new transmission, and trust that if it's something else, you won't be sold something you DON'T need.
After all, what is TRUST worth to your peace of mind?
I also found out, after talking to my other Two Mechanic shops, that they send THEIR transmission jobs to Jeff's.
If other mechanics trust Jeff's, you should too.
Thanks Jeff's Transmissions.
