Be Careful with the Prices & Unnecessary Parts this Location Quotes You!!First, it is important to note that the professionals I dealt with at this location where very pleasant!! (lots of screaming between them while I was there, but that is not a big issue for me). What is a bigger issue is the Over Pricing & the Unnecessary Parts! Maybe these professionals have not been properly trained or maybe it is Jiffy Lube's corporate policies to do so but either way Be Very Careful with your Bill and Parts Replacement Recommendations!I'll tell you my experience without any added emotions, and you make your own conclusions:I brought my 2020 4Runner for an oil change. Price includes 5 qts., $110 + Disposal Fee?! $10 = $120My 4Runner uses 1 additional qt. = $24 (a quart anywhere is $7.50 - $12.00)Total Oil Change w/o tax = $144Replaced the cabin filter = $50 (filter is approx. $20 anywhere, however they deserve to charge for labor)Quoted Rear Brake pads and rotors because they said they were metal to metal. = $519 incl. laborTotal Jiffy Lube (only oil and Brakes) w/o tax = $663Took the 4Runner that afternoon to my regular mechanic and tire shop near the crosstown and MacDill ;-)Quoted Oil Change (even though it was already done) = $89 w/6 qts.Quoted Rear Pads & Rotors = $439 incl. labor.Total Price difference = $135 higher at Jiffy Lube. This amount may not be a lot for some, however here is the kicker: I did NOT need rear brake pads nor rotors!!!Now Total Price difference = $574 (extra Charge for Oil Change + Unnecessary Parts)I can provide written confirmation from the 2 shops, if anyone wants to see them.

I have been depressed for a week now. Leaving the doctor Tuesday morning 11/21/2023 on the way to work and my car breaks down as I'm pulling it out of the parking lot. Literally all the oil has leaked out of my car, and I just got a routine oil change at Jiffy Lube Store # 288 18 days ago! Speaking with Tyler Hayes on the phone he was very condescending and provided little to no assistance. I'm currently getting the runaround a week later. I've literally had to walk all the way home and miss work due to not having a vehicle. My Thanksgiving holiday was ruined as well as I could not travel home to visit family. It is so frustrating that Jiffy Lube can just do stuff like this to people with no empathy for their customers, especially when literally the only means of transportation a person has right now is their vehicle. Tyler Hayes today 11/29/23 2:55pm. He stated jiffy lube was not liable for the issues with my vehicle and would not be responsible for any further repairs or compensation. He was extremely condescending once again very rude and arrogant while on the phone. He first stated that I had a hole in my engine and for the sake of "customer service" he would pay to have it replaced. He stated that legally he was only obligated to pay for a "used" engine to replace it and I kindly stated if my engine is to be replaced an used one is simply unacceptable. Then Tyler called me back 15 minutes later stating that he had the wrong paperwork in front of him the 20 minutes or so we were on the phone and proceeded to tell me that the inspector stated in his report nothing was wrong with my vehicle and that the issue was the oil pressure sending unit. The problem with this observation is that the shop manager where my vehicle is currently being housed stated that the inspector did not clean the undercarriage of my vehicle and it was so much oil it would have been impossible to pinpoint where exactly the leak was coming from. I have requested the inspector's report to be emailed to me Mr Hayes confirmed my email and stated he would email the report right over and has failed to do so. I have been a loyal customer of jiffy lube and this is by far the worse I have ever been treated by a company and its management. I'm quite frankly disappointed that even after my oil cap was left off after my last oil change prior to my oil change on 11/2/23 I was told it was a simple mistake and to give jiffy lube another chance and it was the worse decision I could have ever made. My vehicle is potentially damaged beyond repair and jiffy lube and Tyler Hayes could care less. Thank you. SAVE YOUR MONEY GO GET YOUR 15 MINUTE OIL CHANGE SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

Don't take you vehicle here, it's not worth it! They put used oil in my windshield wiper fluid tank. I came in for a transmission fluid swap and left with a faulty temperature sensor and oil mixed in my wiper fluid which cost me $300 to fix. Management denied any responsibility and completely dismissed my claim. They don't care about customers and don't take their missteps seriously. Drive a few more miles and go somewhere else...Please!Services: Transmission

Beware of getting scammed or told wrong information. Went in for oil change and was told the rear brakes were "metal on metal" and needed immediate replacement, recommending $500+ service. Then took the car to a trusted mechanic who said the rear brakes were fine with 60% left.

Avoid at all costs, absolute scam. Go in for oil change and walk out with $200 bill. They're scammers who pretend to be mechanics.

Went in for a basic oil change, out of laziness to do it myself.I noticed quickly that now they are using and oil extractor rather than draining the oil pan.I kept an eye out because oil extraction done in a hurry fails to remove as much oil as a drain. Plus the employees working the machine really looked insecure. I was right. After I got home, I let the oil settle and checked it. See pic. It was ridiculously overfilled, by 1 in on the dipstick. I did 3 sessions of draining to get it to the right level. Jack up car, drain some oil, plug it back, level car, check oil, and all over again.I had to remove 1.5 Qts of oil to get it to level!!!! You can also see from the color of the oil that a lot of the old oil was left in and new oil added on top.If I hadn't been cautious and checked their work, this would have ruined my engine beyond repair. I very strongly recommend going to either a reputable shop or do it yourself. Or, if you are in pinch, and have to go there, double-check everything.

Had to change from 5 to 1 stars. Been waiting to cash out for 40 minutes. I don't know if it's staffing or just incompetence but I received no communication about when I would be able to cash out and leave. They had me pull forward to take another car but like, why wouldn't you just finish with the one you had first? It's a bit ridiculous. I know you get what you pay for but like dang, just paid $100 for an oil change you think it would take less than an hour.Service: Oil change

On September 1, 2023, my daughter went for a routine oil change at a Jiffy Lube located at 4316 W Gandy Blvd, Tampa FL 33611. At the moment the service was good no issues, as she takes the vehicle down the road, the vehicle started emptying all the oil and she was left stranded on the side of the road. We called Jiffy Lube and was told to take it back, we had to contact our insurance company to have the unit towed back. Once there the vehicle would not turn back on and was told we needed to leave it since they believe it was the starter that went bad. We left the vehicle there and came back next day 09/2/2023 to pick up the vehicle. Once there we were told the vehicle has an after market starter placed (which we are not happy with that), then was told that the car has a protective feature when oil is low and just needed to be reset. The car has been running well BUT the hood has cosmetic issues due to a dent in the hood. I filed a claim with Jiffy Lube (claim # 00374294) I was told that a supervisor Taylor Hayes would reach out to me, I have left numerous messages and have not gotten any responses from Mr. Hayes, I again contacted Jiffy Lube and finally got an email on a Sunday from Mr. Hayes requesting a call back, I have done so and no call back from Mr. Hayes. Jiffy Lube did refund for the oil change and gave us a free oil change (that we will never use) but no response in reference to the vehicle damage. I am looking to have the vehicle properly repaired.

Went for an oil change and that went well. Staff was friendly and service was fast. However, they quoted me around $1000 for recommendation maintenance and new break pads. I took it to my mechanic for a second opinion who said nothing needed to be done. Be careful with them trying to upsell you on things you don’t need.Service: Oil change

The technicians I worked with (Destiny and Kahleel) were SO AMAZING! They were so friendly from the moment I arrived and got me set up with AC as soon as I pulled into the bay. I watched another person leaving in front of me leave with a big smile telling them how amazing they’d been, so I already knew it was going to be amazing service. Not only were they incredibly friendly, they were so quick! They really had a great team dynamic and made the whole process so smooth and warm. I’ll definitely be coming back to this location for all my future needs because of them. Thank y’all so much!!!Service: Oil change

Staff was super friendly, fast and effective. I had questions and they explained everything and offered additional services without being pushy. Obviously a cohesive team, meaning the manager is a good leader. He was training a kid and still had time for my questions. Everyone was friendly. Shop music was the type everyone loves, Motown Classics. I'll be back. However, they should probably do something about the AC in the office. That afternoon sun makes that office like "the box" in Cool Hand Luke!Service: Oil change

They’ve messed up more things on my car than they’ve fixed. $2000 and my AC still doesn’t work and they gaslight me telling me it’s fine when it takes 20-30 min to blow cold air. “Oh that’s normal in Florida” no the hell it isn’t.I go for an oil change and get talked into a coolant flush and they don’t replace the old coolant with new and my car overheats and shuts down then they don’t even offer to help organize a tow? “Oh we can reimburse the tow cost if you handle it” nice people but absolute trash service and don’t know how to do anything with cars
