This is your standard hotel, no extras, no wow, just a hotel close by to sleep in. The front desk is very nice and welcoming. The room is dated and needs refurbishment, stained carpet, and old furniture. Still relatively clean. Very quiet. Overall pleasant.Nearby activities: Busch Gardens is literally a mile away. So the location is absolutely great.

Stayed here because of location and price. So many people had complaints this morning that we didn't bother when checking out. Our room wasn't even cleaned properly. There was a dirty, used and dried up washcloth hanging on the shower curtain rod. There was hardly any water pressure. At some point on Saturday there was no hot water and there was still no hot water Sunday morning. Did make me wonder about breakfast if they don't have hot water to clean things. The entire hotel needs maintenance; the elevators are past due for inspection, the 4th floor carpets are absolutely horrendous, several outside lights were out, especially towards the back of the property which is esp bothersome when your pets want out at 1:30am. The trash outside was always overflowing and trash on the ground (People suck!) The pet areas were decent and bags were always available and that waste basket looked like it was emptied often. Just a note for light sleepers, the walls are thin and I could hear the baby next door. It truly didn't bother me that a baby was crying, but it did wake me up. The beds and pillows were comfortable and appeared clean. Overall, I'd rather spend a little more and stay elsewhere.

Where can begin….. For the household name of “Wyndham” to even have their name attached to this filth of a hotel like this is beyond disturbing and disappointing. This hotels current pictures before booking ,are misleading and deceiving to the core. For one night, to spend over $200 dollars, my family was robbed and cheated. We will not get sleep tonight. How dare this hotel’s marketing and management team even deceive customers like this , shows the level of customer service and hospitality. I would rather me and my family sleep in our car or travel back the 3 1/2 hours home then this filthy place. To have been out all day celebrating my daughters birthday and to end the day with a place like this breaks my heart. How dare this place takes advantage of customers like this. I would make it my business that make sure customers are aware of this place. From the carpet, holes in the walls, nights stand lights near falling off the wall, rust , stain on the walls and carpet , dirty bathroom, spotted and filthy pull out couch, cold water in the entire building to take a shower etc the list goes on. On this night their was many complaints from customers even some packing their bags and leaving. “Pictures speak a thousand words “. The pictures post came from our so called ,”Suite”. You be the judge of that. This place is old and outdated and needs to be torn down to the ground!!!!DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARN MONEY ON A PLACE LIKE THIS!!!

I've been to a few Wyndham locations but this was my first time at La Quinta Inn. The location was marvelous, you're close to a bunch of stores and restaurants, and only a medium drive to downtown or ybor area. They do offer a free breakfast, but not very many options for vegans. The pool and courtyard area was beautiful! The room was spacious and had great natural lighting. My only complaints were the room and furniture look very archaic, the bathroom was not very clean or had good water pressure, and the elevator is very rusty and makes a weird noise when you're on it. Thank you James for the excellent customer service!Rooms: The room was very spacious and the bathroom was nice and roomy. The furniture is very old styles, the room looks archaic. The bathroom was not very clean. The pull out bed did not come with any extra bedding.Nearby activities: Very close to many stores and restaurants, a medium drive to downtown and ybor area.Food & drinks: Free breakfast in the morning, but not any options for vegans. The bread was very stale.

Upon arrival I had the best transaction with the reception staff. I had made an error in dates and they quickly and efficiently fixed it without judgement and with a smile. I was in good spirits until I got to my room. Tired from being stuck in a traffic jam and it being late, I was ready to sleep. The carpet was horrible and didn't look like it had ever been cleaned, the chair was stained, with holes and siding coming out, and when I sat to take off my shoes I feel backwards into it because there was no support under the cushion. The next morning we realized the back of the door in the bathroom was filthy as well as the windows. The bed was fine, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was not ready at 6 the first day, the second it was.You couldn't beat the location. I know it's near the college, but it seems a few easy fixes and more staff might make this a true find is a higher.Nearby activities: Great location for what we needed to be close to a conferenceSafety: The area felt safe, even though we walked, plenty of outdoor lights

This hotel has some major issues and perspective guests should beware. First of all, all the photos are super staged to capture the one decent looking corner of the room completely leaving out the dirty carpets and windows, the torn upholstery and curtains, the dirty surfaces everywhere, the groudy shower with the shower curtain falling off, cabinet hardware that is rusted out with paint on it, being October - the live spiders crawling along the walls was a nice touch and the tiny television with half a burnt out screen is nice so long as you don't need to see anything in the top half. They have a policy about no check ins after midnight - like a curfew - but it seems they mean let them know if you will be arriving late. The two times we needed staff's help, there was no one to be found. Add to this a musty, ashtray smell that hits you like a freight train when you enter the room and never leaves. The final straw was the disappointing continental breakfast with Fox News - yes the network that just admitted in open court to lying, being untruthful and otherwise being propagandist and accomplices in the undermining of our democracy - blaring on the TVs. It was enough to send me packing, literally. Its only saving grace is it's proximity to Busch Gardens, but there are plenty of other hotels just as close - I recommend you choose one of them. This hotel will never see us again and has done irevicable damage to the La Quinta brand in our minds and we'd gladly spend more money to stay elsewhere or stay in our car if we have to rather than patronize another La Quinta property.

I wasn't the ones staying in the hotel. I was there for a baby shower, and the location is great. The service was great. I did see the rooms of one of my family members also really good and roomie.

Just had an overnight stay to take a family member to Moffitt. Front desk staff James was very helpful and very nice. All staff greeted and/or smiled in passing! Carpets need to be deep cleaned or replaced! While there our vehicle and 5 others in the back parking lot of the hotel were broken into! The light was covered with branches,no security cameras and no security at hotel at all! Front desk manager Justin was very understanding, offering assistance and insured an incident report /claim would be filed! Before the break in we were planning on returning as there will be additional appointments but unfortunately with this happening we will not returnSafety: There's no security and/or lighting in rear parking.

The room was infested with COCKROACHES! The carpet is so dirty and worn you can't imagine stepping on it barefoot! I've never experienced such a horrible stay at a hotel. I was dropping of my son at the university only to find myself with hardly any sleep and very anxious knowing I was surrounded by roaches. When I informed the front desk they just casually apologized and said they were working on the issue. I'll never stay here or at a La Quinta again. What a discusting property representing Wyndham and USF Tampa. What a horrible impression to give a parent dropping of their kid at school. Stay away from this hotel...

This was by far the best stay I’ve had in awhile let me start off by saying the mattress in room 106???? so comfortable I slept like baby mannn?I booked 3more day just because I hadn’t had a good night sleep in a couple years honestly! The reason I choose this l hotelbecause of the location…. It’s located about 3 minutes from Bush Gardens and Adventure Island…you can pretty much walk if you want to(if your a walker) you have all kind of restaurants down the street….University Mall…it’s very close to both Moffitt Cancer Hospitals! The reason for my stay was both personal and business and the staff made me feel like I was home❤️ Justin(GM), Mrs.Kitty, Mr. James, Amanda, and Kenny (Front desk Liaisons) was fantastic! Any interaction was always pleasant and friendly! This place is being remodeled but it is Clean…the house keeping and maintenance staff are so nice and hard workers so I wanna shot them out to Milka, Debra, lele, Mrs Pearl, Antonio thank you! These are all the people I came in contact with! I only shared pics outside my room because remodeling is not finished s but I shared common areas! Once it finished it’s gonna be the perfect lil get away ?? I hope this help someone that’s looking for prefect location for the north Tampa area!
