They fixed my pool vac. Back to normal. A little pricey. But it is a pool store so you can find what you need.

My water was never right I was constantly buying chemicals.Sometimes hundreds of dollars. Customer Service poor.Pinch a penny has been great last 3 months water was perfect no chemicalsBought all new equipment. Leslie's says call the manufacturer the manufacturer have me a different Leslie's number and they gave me a different manufacturers number.! It shouldn't be that hard to create a service call!!!!

Honestly, after 5 minutes of talking to two different employees on two visits to look into our heater and filter options, it became apparent that I was more knowledgeable than they were. And I am not a pool guy. Off to Pinch a Penny in Citrus Park I went where a knowledgeable store owner told me what I needed for my size pool and we did business together.

DO NOT USE; this company is not licensed in Florida to install equipment. The district and store manager, Wayne" told us that he had a "partner" in another company that was taking care of the installation. His "partner" showed up, put the heater in place, had it plumed, and stated the electrician would be there later in the day to hook up the heater to the power supply. It has been three days since the installation, and there is still no electrician. Wayne is not answering his phone and sent a text giving us the name of an electrician to arrange the hookup, and we will have to pay extra. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY if you want your equipment set up correctly and shown how to use it.

You need to hire different people if they do not like working here. 3 times this month I have come into your store about 15 min before closing. As I get off of work at 6:30 pm. Each time I am greeted by an employee . She thinks I am doing something wrong by interrupting her closing up time. I thought the store closed at 7 pm. Anyway she needs a new line of work

Bring water sample and they will sell you all kinds of stuff and lie about the product. Just to make a sale, only problem is it doesn't solve your problem. They know but want to keep selling you different products. Rip-off..

Most of the bad reviews tend to be for service call issues. I've had good experiences just buying pool supplies from them. Both of the gentlemen that I deal with there are very knowledgeable and helpful. I've been empowered to be able to handle all of the required pool maintenance myself. We initially started going to the Pinch a Penny on Bearss and that place is like walking into a gun store or something. Much better dealing with Leslie's.

I scheduled an appointment to have someone come out to my house and they wound up calling 4 hours late wondering why I wasn't at the property. The general manager calls me and offers to come out to my house personally to make up for the 'scheduling mixup'. Then he shows up over an hour late. While reviewing my system and needing to look closer at the pump the general manager placed his hand on one of the PVC pipes that connects my filter to my pump to brace himself as he leaned down to look at that motor. The connection of that PVC pipe to my filter began leaking right then and there and as I pointed it out he agreed yeah that's leaking and then just moved on like nothing could happen.

Not very helpful. I am a new pool owner and asked for some advice based on the water testing results for chemicals to put in. The rep brushed me aside saying that she has not built a pool so can't really help me. Maybe I went with the wrong expectations but would have appreciated some help.

I called with a general question about sand filters vs cartridge or D-E filters. Andrew spent quite a bit of time with me on the phone, making sure that each of my questions were thoroughly answered. He did not sound rushed or impatient in the least, despite my having called near closing time. I was very impressed.

I have had poor experiences at retail locations, by my experience with Leslie’s stands out and borders on surreal. We needed a new PVC valve for our pool. My wife went online, found it at Leslie’s offering same day pick up with an online order. She made the purchase, and forwarded the confirmation email to me.Several hours later I was going to be near Leslie’s, so I stopped in. The young man told me they have problems with online orders, and it hadn’t come into their local system yet. He looked at the order confirmation on my phone, went and checked, but didn’t have it yet. He said they would let us know when it was ready. OK, it was a bit concerning that they didn’t even see the order with about 3 hours left in the day, but not out of the realm of possibility.Fast forward 3 days, and we finally got the email that the order was ready for pickup.I drove to the store, and when I walked in, I was the only customer there. There were two employees at the center register area, a man and a woman (Colleen, I think) in their late 50s. I walked up and stood about 3 feet from them. They didn’t acknowledge I was there, and continued a conversation about who was getting scheduled to have an upcoming weekend. After about 2 minutes, they looked at me and continued speaking. The man then went in the back door to the employee area. Coleen then proceeded to take a large stack of receipts and forms, and staple them and put them on a receipt spike, still not saying anything. At this point another customer walked in with an armful of empty chlorine jugs, and stood off to my side. Coleen kept working the receipts, but the male employee walked from the back out the front door, and on his way out told the other customer to put the jugs on a cart.Having had enough I said “Excuse me!” pretty loudly, and she kept spiking receipts. I walked up to the counter (about 18 inches from her) and said it again. She finally acknowledged me and asked what I needed. I said it was about an online order and before I could go any further she said harshly “That order isn’t ready yet!”. I said it had been almost a week, so it should be. She realized it was another order, and said “Did you print out the order paperwork?” I told her no, and I didn’t see anything about needing to do that. She said she would go see if they had it and vanished into the back. The guy waiting to get chlorine, looked at me and said “Is this really happening?”Coleen came back with the part and a pack of about 5-6 pages stapled together. She said she would let me pick it up, even though I hadn’t printed out the email. She just needed me to write out my full name, mailing address, phone number, and email address, then sign underneath it. I did so, and she then said I also needed to write the order number down. Pointed it out it was printed across the top of the page she had me write my info on, and she seemed genuinely surprised by this revelation. I grabbed the part and walked out. As I did so I heard “Did you want those jugs filled?”

I've always had good service here. If they think someone else can do better, they usually let me know. They have also price matched in the past and honored coupons from other stores. The only downside is that they always seem to be one employee understaffed. The employees there work really hard, and you can see the customers get frustrated (I guess pool people have no patience). They offer lots of services which I believe just get subbed out to local contractors / companies, so you probably pay more going through them than if you went out and hired someone yourself. I come here frequently for my pool supply needs.
