I have been a customer with General Liability insurance for my business three years ago from Nationwide. I requested a Certificate of Insurance for a new client and the certificate has to be physically signed by Nationwide which has been a battle with them. The agents tell me that they are not authorized to hand sign and it has to be electronically signed. I can’t get a hold of anyone at corporate office to authorize it and the agents did not care to call their manager, supervisor, and or the corporate office. It has been three weeks now and they have not sent the signed certificate.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.Hopefully some people read this review before doing business with this company. They are the WORST travel insurance company I've ever dealt with.

Poor poor customer service. Don’t purchase travel insurance from Nationwide. I purchased insurance and my plane was delayed causing me to miss my connecting flight. The airline said couldn’t get us a plane out until Monday morning. This was Saturday. So instead of waiting two days in an airport or renting hotel rooms we purchased train tickets to get home. Nationwide then denied the claim because the train got us back before the 12 hour window was up. This is dirty double cross practices. In order for them to pay we would of had to incur a lot more expenses staying two days in hotel rooms while waiting for a plane. My brother was traveling with us and the insurance company he used paid his claim for the train tickets, no questions asked. Lessened learned. Do not use nationwide or Trawick international!

I would like to warn anyone that has a travel policy with Nationwide Mutual Insurance (Travel company division) that you will be severely disappointed during this pandemic era if you file a claim relating to pandemic Covid19 issues. This company will not bend nor be flexible or understanding for any pandemic issues and exposures whatsoever when you file a claim. I felt like I was treated unjustly and unfairly by this company when my family was exposed to Covid19 a few days before our vacation to Florida and before the rapid tests were more accessible. We had no choice but to cancel the Florida beach trip in October 2020 and quarantine until we could get tests results. It was the right thing to do and the humane thing to do for our safety and the safety of other travelers. It was recommended by the CDC.I kept fighting diligently for our rights and the reimbursement of our money for our condo lease for the week and even filed an appeal. But the company refused to imburse us.They kept referring to the fine print which was written well before covid19. So fellow travel insurance buyers, beware of this company. It’s not worth the premium or the headache or the end result during these unprecedented times of this pandemic.
